We all have them...fellow tradgangers we know through deals, emails, or pms. Who HAVEN'T you met(in person) from this site, that you want to hunt with one day?
For me, Over & Under, Kennym, whip, Terry Green, and Larry Surtees all come to mind. I am sure I can and will come up with more....
Say who, where, and quarry.
Lots of great ones out there. My first choice would be hog hunting with RC. Second choice would be spot and stalk Alaskan bear with Steve O. Third choice would be stalking anything Australia had to offer with tradtusker or Ben Kleinig. Then there is bowfishing flooded fields with Charlie Lamb. Then....
as i hold just about all of the TGers as fantastic people, id like to meet and hunt with each and every one of them :)
I'll have to give this some thought.
Check back with me next December 31st 2012.
God bless,Mudd

X2!
RC for sure! After that, we would contemplate the Psalms before moving on to the book of Romans... It can't get much better than that! ;)
I wanna hunt with Mudd.
Well when I lived in New Jersey I had the honor of meeting and shooting/hunting with a few members here.
I would say I would like to be able to hunt/shoot with everyone I can. I can't say names, Because I don't want to leave anyone out.
Not so sure there's enough room on a single page. Likewise above.
But, I know folks much akin to my hunt style & ethics that might be able to put up with me for a week or so; Pat Kelly (OKla.), Steve Angell (Ga.), Marty Thompson (Fla), Frank Dohman (Mo.), get a stone cold kick out of Forrest Halley, & definitley Mr. Leo Markert (all in no certain order). Anybody doesn't want to hunt w/RC is just plain nuts! Stellar folks all in my book! Know I've forgot a big bunch too. Hard question when so many herein shine like a new penny!
I'd like to hunt with RC because he sees so dang many critters, but I'm a jinx and would not want to do that to him. So, knowing that I am a jinx, I'd like to hunt with Benjy, I owe him that much! :goldtooth:
Don't think I could list em all....would be pretty neat !!
Froggy
Everyone seems to be great on this site and I'm sure I could learn a lot from most on here but I'm going to name: Bowman and Arwin because they lives a couple hours south of me and they are both top notch guys!
magnus.
I agree, hard to name names, and I'm sure the ones left out can make the list next year. ;)
I live near the JLMBH, I can't even begin to name the great people I have met and hunted with there....
But try guys. :)
allofem! :bigsmyl:
Mike, you are toooooo funny! Just for that I'm gonna shoot somewhere between 2 to 4 this weekend! Do you need me to send you some venison?
As stated above I would like to hunt with everyone here, including you Mike AKA "Owlbait"!
Benjy
I am like you Jamie in that I can say that I have been fortunate to have hunted with well over 100 TGers. Ive only met one that pissed me off, the rest were top notch human beings. Id hunt anything, anyplace, any time with Shawn. Something about that old boy that makes you enjoy his company without even having to say a whole lot.
But out of those I havent met yet, Biggie is a fella that I hope to hunt with one day, for anything. Hes a funny, straight shooting fella. His mentor Marty would be a hoot to hunt with also.
Mike Mitten is someone who Id bet youd learn from through osmosis alone. Id hunt pigs with him so we could BS and talk and I could ask him all the questions I have after reading his book. There are a ton of others too but these two jump out at me.
Buddy Bell - straitera, (Hope to do so next year)
Ray Hammond (Will do so in February)
Paul Brunner - 8th Dwarf trade emails with him all the time and would love to hunt with "Too Short"
Stan Bennett - Blueridge, great guy to shoot with, hunting would have to be fun also
Ben McCloskey - benmmc, because we hunt the same WMA in N. GA and sooner or later will end up hunting together
These are at the top of my list but as has been previously stated, not may trad gangers that I would not be happy to hunt with.
Uncle Barry......... :campfire:
...........and................
Roger Rothhaar........ :campfire:
They've BOTH probably forgotten more than I have ever known about white-tail deer. Besides that, could you just imagine the stories that would be told around that campfire ???
Winterhawk1960
This is an easy one...
ferretWYO...
for ELK!
I'm hooked on trad elk hunting and Randy seems to have it down to a science!!!
Buddy, I would have listed you but I thought it was for folks we haven't met yet.
Charlie Lamb. I'd like to shake his hand one day, preferable over a freshly killed deer (with my arrow sticking out of it) :D
I'd like to hunt with all here, anyone who hunts with trad gotta be worth knowing.
Kentuckytj,Manitoba stickflinger,TerryGreen,Idahocurt,KSTrapper,Ferretwyo,RC,and many more.
I started thinking about people I would still like to meet and hunt with and got over a dozen without slowing down.
I have hunted Solana and will do so again real soon. I have hunted St Jude hunts and hosted the same. I have met tradgangers at bowshoots throughout the SE. I have swapped emails, pms, gear and laughs with people from all over the world. I guess that I have been blessed to hunt or shoot with over 100 folks who are registered on this site. And I have yet to be disappointed.
What a great topic ... I have had the pleasure and privilege to hunt with many of them because of the wonderful St Judes auction and the generosity of our Trad Gang family.
Shooting from the hip, no pun intended, I would have to say Shedrock, I love Wyoming and he seems to be a first class guy and a fine hunter.
I'd like to hunt with anyone who is close and willing to get together! I Don't have any hunting partners and almost everyone I've had the pleasure of visiting with here seems like a great person!
Jamie
I am honored to make your list...I would like to share camp with you as well. In fact that reminds me I owe you an email :D
Tough to make a list but a few that come to mind are KentuckyTJ, Bill Dunn, FerretWY, RC, Kadbow,Colotrad,Elksong, Steadman, Robtattoo,GRINCH, TradTusker, GREYBEARD...and I'm sure there are lots more I can't think of right now.
any and all
Jake a hunt with you and greybeard, papa Frank, doc nock and bernie would be a hoot thanks for including me.
Well Mr. Lamb , then Mudd , then the rest of y'all !
There is this blinking sign right above the text box I'm typing in that says "PLEASE THINK BEFORE YOU POST!" i'm too tired to do that, so i think I'll have to go get some rest first....
Well I'd love to share a camp with most of you. I hunt alone. That way no one sees my mistakes LOL.
God bless you all and Have a great New Year,. Steve
Andy Ivy is top of my list, wherever he would be at the moment.. OZ or Africa :jumper:
I'd love to hunt with Hogdancer again.. I've got to get him to help me with that first Hog.
I also choose Curt Yeager aka: "Bows n Errors". We always have a great time sharing an elk camp, chasin' Rosevelts, and enjoying each others company by the campfire.
Of Course, I could really enjoy the stories I hear Gene and Barry share around a campfire.
Gene
Well man I dont know where to start so many good people on here that I know and have met are the greatest people I know. If I had to pick one that I havent met that I would like to hunt with it would have to be Mudd.
Don't know anyone on here but bill sant, he doesn't remember me, but I would hunt with him any day of the week. If bill was not around, I would share my time, back, and hunt with Mudd.
Pig hunting with RC or turkey hunting with Guru.
It's gotta be KentuckyTJ for whitetails on one of the farms he hunts on.
Also, Randy Grider comes to mind.
I also really enjoy hunting with Twowolves and Kydoublelung.
Would definitely love to go hunting with Bluegrassbowhunter as well.
And hog hunting at least once with Terry Green.
And last but not least, Iowa whitetail with the Wensels.
Mr.Vic
Mike and Jason Westvang because we'll all eat real good.
I'd be happy to hunt with any of the great TGers here. But if I had to pick a few, I'd like to tag along with RC or Shedrock on a few of their hunts. I think I could learn a few things.
Thats a easy one for me, KentuckyTJ have you seen the quality of bucks he hunts. Plus we PM each other a lot and i really like him.
I have had the pleasure of hunting with a bunch of fine traditional archery hunters over the last several years chasing deer here in NJ. Any one of them I would hunt again with at any time. I have learned a lot from them all and have shared some memorable times in the woods with each of them. I sure wish that a couple of them could move back here from OK and Texas so we can go hunt again, but maybe some day.
I'd also like to one day give hog hunting a try. I think I'd like to go with RC. I think I'd also like to hunt anything with Charlie Lamb. Either one of these guys I'd learn a lot from.
All though my Dad is not a Trad Ganger. He also does not bow hunt anymore. I wish I could hunt back country elk with him. I think that is something he wanted as a yong man but never really made it happen. I love horses, elk and the wild country in which they live. I love all the hard work involved. I was always intrigued by his stories of hunting out west as a kid. I dont think it would be his cup of tea but I wish we could do it.
I've only gotten to meet and hunt with two TG members (Tim Golder aka Tim and Mark Johnston aka straight_arrow) and that was only for two short days. I would love the opportunity to hunt with those guys again, hopefully next time I can spend more time with them.
I really can't narrow down who I would want to hunt with. I respect everybody on here and would love the opportunity to hunt with anybody and everybody here.
Anybody that wants to go and carries a stick! :bigsmyl:
no particular order but after enjoying all of their posts and adventures they share with us I would like to meet and hunt with:
Andy Ivy, either chasing plains game in Africa or water bufalo and hogs in OZ, I know he is a fun hunter to share a camp
Elksong, doesn't even have to be a hunt, I just would like to be on all the beatiful scenery he always shows on his really awesome pictures he takes and share with us
Shedrock, I really enjoy his posts when he is after antelope, cougars, elks, bison, muleys, etc, etc, etc
plus I dream of go to a Solana hunt and meet Terry, Guru, Charlie, also a pig gig with the Wensel's.
I cannot end this without saying I hope to share a camp someday with Joe Skip and Bernie Dunn, TG'ers I feel so grateful to consider my friends even that we haven't met in person.
may 2012 be a year of many days in the field for all of us!
Leatherneck said it best.
While I am positive that sharing a hunt with ANY of the good people who frequent this forum would be a blast, I'd like to share a hunt with Ron LaClair, and I'd love to have a chance to pick the brains of Roger Rotthaar. He is one smart guy and his son looks like he is headed the same way.
Joe
I would like to hunt with any of the Tradgangers, because we are all committed to our sport and I haven't met one I didn't like, but if I had only one choice, I would have to go with one that hunts Elk on a camp out hunt, to me it is the ultimate quarry for our type of hunting.
I'd like to turkey hunt with Guru. Turkeys seem to come very tough for me and could use some pointers. He sure knows how to get it done.
Of course, whitetails with Uncle Barry. Even tho I grew up and still live in IA, that guy sure has the line on some great deer. Just hunting with him would help me learn more about the quarry.
My dads not a TG'er or a trad bow hunter, but I still love to hunt with him.
I would like to go on a week long camp hunt with the ladies of TG. :goldtooth:

Too many to mention. I have enjoyed emailing and talking on the phone with lots of folks on here. I would like to be able to sit around a campfire with all of you. Guys like Doug Campbell. Sure like to shake his hand and say thanks for what he has done for the kids. Guys like Mudd for his heart. So many who have shared their knowledge about trad archery and that I have benefited from. I shouldn't get started cause I'll leave out others that need mentioning.

:banghead: I wish I could :banghead: Thank you!
I've had the good fortune of hunting with several TradGangers at Solana and will be there again next week, God willing. A few on my short list would be "Mudd", "Biggie"' "RC", Ron LaClair, the Wensel Brothers and Fred Asbell. There are others but space is limited for sure.God Bless this site and the people who make it what it is.
Most notable would be camels with Ben K!
One more guy would be that kid that shows all those beautiful pictures of africa and many other places. He posted over 40-50 on the harvest website last year.
He hunts a lot with another young guy and lots of times they have there shirts off and look like they are really loving life, who is that kid.
Andy is his name - that would be high on my list based on his Oz pic threads! Here's a prior thread on hunting with him:
http://tradgang.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=085602
Also Allan, based on his nice thread on the water buff hunt.
An-D I-vee (Andy Ivy)
Just rec'd mail from the Muddster who's generosity, compassion, & bow trading are well known. It'd be a hoot Roy!
Far as folks I don't know; anybody in Oz or NZ! Ben K, Ben M., Andy, & Jeff B. all would be special hunts. Draw down on a buff or red stag would just about ruin me for good! Never tire of Shedrock's pix & posts. That dude can get it done! Allan DeVore, Robert Schelznik, & best for last Ron LaClair. Might be easier to note ones I wouldn't hunt with. Man, ain't this place great!!?
This is kinda easy for the most part because I'd pick the guys that see the most critters and the species that I can't get around here.
First on my all time list would be Gene and Barry Wensel. Mostly because I've been watching their trad videos since back before I had even shot a trad bow. Barry just blew my mind when he stuck that buck right in the bisquits running full tilt on a deer drive and I wished that someday I could do that. I'd hunt with Barry or Gene for whitetails or hogs anytime, anywhere, Period.
KS Trapper cause he's always got some awesome giant whitetail pics to show around.
FerretWYO for my thirst to chase elk with a bow hands down.
RC "The Hog Man" no doubt!
Then after I wake up and snap back to reality I'd most like to hunt with any one of my friends and y'all know who you are, but I'll list some and just pray I don't forget anybody.
ArtB - Anything at all because I'd enjoy the visit more than the actual hunt.
RoyfromPA- Because I think doing anything with ol Roybert would be an adventure, and I'd just like to kick him square in his arse one time for being a crotchety old fart!
I changed my mind it would be Gene and Barry Wensel. I can still picure in my mind in the video Hunting October Whitetails one of them making that running shot on that buck.
Most anybody here. And that's the truth!
I have met and shot bows and the bull with a bund of Tradgangers, hunted with a few hope to do so with a bunch more! Mudd is on the top of my list, we would have a ball together, Kentucky TJ and Lowe Bowe I would too, live within 2 hours of one another, need to gete together, and Bluegrass Bowhunter, Mark Murphy and his clan to be for sure. Not to mention several of my friends in Tennessee. HOpe to get together to shoot, hunt, cook and eat great food with a bunch of fine folks on here!
I would like too spend some time up at Shrew Haven with the guys.
Terry Green, just because he looks like he knows how to have a good time in camp and is our loyal leader. Longbowben and Magnus make my list because we live in the same state and I have never hunted with either of them.
I was lucky enough to be in camp with The "Real" Bow Doc, Barry Wensel, Tom Phillips, Larry Surtees and a number of other outstanding guys at Bear Quest 5. That was an experience not to be traded for anything. I highly recommend a hunt like that. All trad baby!
1. Anyone who will put up with my snoring! (ask Doc Nock before comitting to hunting with me...lol)
2. Anyone who like to cook and cooks better than me!
3. Anyone who has a honey hole for HOGS!!!!

:readit:
DITTO!!!
Would like to hunt hogs with RC. Would love anyone to help me hunt with Mudd & keep him settled down. :scared:
Am not much of a deer hunter any more
But I would love to hunt just about anything else with just about everyone on this board. Would love to go Turkey hunting with someone who really knows what they are doing.
I'd enjoy shooting the breeze with any of you, but I don't know if you'd like hunting with me--haven't shot a deer with a bow in my life.
There are some of you I would really like to work on bows or arrows with. A few who seem to think in minimalist modes.
I don't want to pick any names publicly, but the pragmatic minimalists and deep thinkers would be high on my list to hunt with.
Some of us are clearly thoughtful and caring people. I hope to meet more of you this spring and summer by going to some gatherings near western Kentucky. I have things squared away enough after my move that I think fuel costs will now be the factor that governs my travel decisions.
Jim
elk nailer wants to hunt with Gila.
I have been very fortunate to hunt with many fine men of TG. Too many to list and they were always a good time. We are blessed to have this melting pot to share our love of hunting with the traditional bow.
With that said, I'd like to get out with any of the Wyoming boys; Shedrock and Ferret WYO especially. Also, for years have been trying to coordinate schedules with Whip, Duckbutt, Steadman, and Steve H. It is NOT easy!
I would hunt with anybody here but if I had a list of guys to tag along and learn from, even for an hour it would be in no paticular order:
The Wensel brothers,Mike Mitten, KentuckyTJ, Bisch, The real Bowdoc, Wade Phillips, and Ranger B. Prolly a whole lotta others that I am forgetting.....
That's easy.....Uncle Barry....no question!
I would love to hunt with Charlie Lamb. Something about that guy that im drawn to. Seems a whole lot of experiance to learn from.
Too many to name but want to go with Keith Zimmerman hunting somewhere for sure!!
Someone just told me about this thread. I am truly humbled by you guys placing me and/or Gene on the list. Give me a break.. I lucked out on a couple great shots and stumbled into a few nice bucks in my day and people want to go hunting with me? Thanks guys. Like Terry said, you'll need to act fast, but I book all the slots for the Wensel Brothers Pig-Gigs. We were already sold out but I have recently had some cancellations. I just went through the listings and see well over a dozen TGers already booked on the various hunts. We are only allowed to take "X" number of bowhunters on each hunt. I have some tent/camping slots available on all four hunts and a few with bunks available too. Gene and I are present, in camp on all four hunts so there's usually plenty of time to share a campfire. All the info is listed on our www.brothersofthebow.com (http://www.brothersofthebow.com) website so if it'll fit any of your schedules drop me an email at barrywensel@hotmail.com and I'll let you know what's available. We'd love to share a fun time with you guys too. Happy New Year to all. BW aka Uncle Barry
Hey Uncle Barry! I don't know if I'd like to hunt with you... Just maybe watch the way you eat watermelon! :D
You Are My Hero! (This week, anyway)
... mike ...
Although there are many I'm going to throw Bill Langer onto top of my list. From what I can see in his videos he seems like a real class act.
Yeah, Bill and Dick Langer would be great to hunt with. They have so much fun on their vidoes. Kentucky TJ too, man that dude kills some impressive bucks and on a regular basis. Of course Gene and Barry Wensel, they're living legends. But in all honesty, I would break bread with any of the fine members here. We all share the same fire in our souls.
im looking forward to spending a little time bowfishing and maybe a little knife making with the wilsons this spring(hopefully larry will show up too!!) after that would love to do bear quest with bow doc and uncle barry.
all of em. any of em.
Especially my buddy John who moved away and I don't get to go play with him much any more.
ChuckC :dunno:
and. . . be careful around Uncle Barry. He has the worst luck when it comes to cactus and pigs.
Be very very careful. . .
BTW the GiGs are fun hunts. I was there last year and am going back this year. No he won't run one past you (he might RIDE one past you), but he has some good spots with good chances for success. .
ChuckC
boy talk about a wish list biggie hoffman.,buff rc,kentuckytj, gene&barry wensel,an tons more.but I really wish I had the money to just fly all over to meet everyone an hunt my butt off.I dont know any of the ones I have picked just like reading there post or they have made me laugh an I love to laugh.
thats easy, Ron Laclair!!!
Wow! What a tuff question. Hate to even begin to narrow it down, as I would share a camp with any of you. My good buddy Mudd, Luke Strommen, Gerald Sparks (GRS), Charlie Lamb, The Wensels, and Mittens, Biggie, Guru, Ron LaClair, Rob D., and about 30,000 others on here.
Ok, here's my revised wish.
I want to hunt with Mudd, with a bow that Raging Waters could pull, in the Wensels' hunting property, with Charlie Lamb looking over my shoulder giving advice, shooting a BW/ Tall Tines hybrid, and I want Terry Green to edit my post with pics by Elksong.
I've shared camp with many guys on here and look forward to many more. Barry and Gene tell great stories, RC knows the GA swamps like he knows his own house, Hunt It is going to kill something, you can bet on it, Hog Dancer is the southern gentleman, Bow Doc, well he's Bow Doc (and a great camp female dog), Gene Carol would give you the shirt off his back and there are a bunch of other great guys I've had the pleasure of hearing their stories and sharing a beer or two with them. It;s been fun
Dang, thanks guys you've made me blush. I would like to spend campfire time with any of you as the few I have met at shoots have been very enjoyable for me and I always step away wishing for more time to share.
It's funny the cycles your hunting career goes through. When I was young I was all business in the woods and very secretive. I have definitely changed as a man and as a hunter in the past few years and our cyber campfire we have here has had a lot to do with that. Now I am entering the phase where the campfire is becoming very important and sought after for me.
Now can I play? In no particular order.
Fred Cioffi
Bill Dunn
Jake Barboza
Allen Shafer
Ryan Steadman
Biggie Hoffman
Andy Ivy
Terry
Curt
Larry Surtees
Shedrock
If I could ever spend time with Charlie Lamb I would definitely take my notebook.
Finally even though I have shared 100 campfires with my bud Lowebow I look forward to 101. He's the best and If any of you ever get a chance to be with him you should jump on it.
I'll cast a first vote for Sam Stephens, even though I have already hunted with him. He was there for my first Trad Whitetail. I'll gladly share a day anytime I can get away for hunting or visiting with him. His company is top notch!!! He gladly shares what he knows and is especially kind to children of all ages. I've said it before. He is a great ambassador of bowhunting and the outdoors in general!!!
Sure!! Who wouldn't want to hunt with Terry Green, Charlie Lamb, or many of the other "notables" on this forum!! This place is made up of great folks sharing a great passion!!!
Fun Thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Matt,
Don't feel like the Lone Ranger, I ain't in the mix either...lol. I would be honored to go hunting with you and promise not to look up your skirt as long as you don't hop on my lily pad !! ...... :campfire:
Froggy
I would like to spend some time in the woods with Mudd, Butch and Loyd. I don't care if its only setting around a fire. Them some good folks
I would just like to find somebody from my neck of the woods that shares the same interest as I do. I hunt with traditional gear only and it sure is hard to find somebody that has the same passion.
Jason

ROTFLMAO!!!!
Matt
Wow, I am humbled and amazed several of you folks would like to hunt with me of all people!
My choice would be all of you. Ethics are one of the top things I look for in folks, and everyone here really seems to have that going for them.
If I was wealthy and didn't have to work, had 365 days a year hunting time, I would travel all over our great nation and hunt with you all.
Happy New Year Everyone!

Matt
Matt,
You know that you have an open invite from me to join us for some pig hunting at Granger. Kilt/skirt or whatever, you'll have to wear some hunter orange :) Knowing how tough you really are, I'll not be the one questioning your manhood in regards to your dress :) LOL!!! However, you might just want to wear something under that skirt for warmth and to ward off ticks :)
Matt I picked you,I said I would like to hunt with any member that includes you,but you can't wear a Man Skirt in Alabama, out ticks would put a permanent hurting on ya.
Well, I have an invite to hunt hogs with northoz at his place down under that I would sure like to do. Also, although we have met, I'd also love to get back to Alaska to hunt black bears with saltwatertom. We did some shooting in his back yard, but didn't have time to hunt when I was last up there.
Of course, a hunt with RC would be a blast as would a hunt with Mudd. I think sharing a campfire with Killdeer would be a hoot. Spending a few days with Nate Steen would be an experience to remember...Hill style shooting tips and back quiver building advice...priceless.
There are a number of guys and gals I'd love to meet, if for no other reason than to shake their hands. This is such a great group, I don't think there is anyone here I wouldn't hunt with.
I want to hunt with anybody that has a large ranch out west that's full of elk.
I've hunted with the Wensel brothers on their pig gig hunts 4 times and it's a blast. Two of the nicest and funniest guys you'll ever meet. If you can go don't pass it up. Be prepared for some practical jokes from them. Here's a pic of a rubber hand that Uncle Barry shoved in the arrow hole while I wasn't looking. When I first felt it while gutting the pig I thought he had a tumor. :biglaugh:

Like everyone else said I would love to hunt with any of you.
But if I have to pick a couple I would say adkmountainken and Killdeer. Kind of kindred spirits I guess.

I've got a couple of Wensel DVDs and....YES!!! They would be a hoot to hunt with!!!! :) LOL!!
Lots but just to name some kentuckyTJ, lowebow, denny sturgis jr, Mike Mitten, Ron LaClair, Terry, Guru, Landshark160...man there are a lot especially considering I usually hunt alone!
There are so many great people on here that I'd be honored to hunt with and the list is definitely long. But if I had to name a few it would be KentuckyTJ, Lowebow, keefer, Guru, Froggy,Joe Skipp, Ron LaClair....and if the Wensel brothers would consider adopting me that would be awesome... :biglaugh:
"and if the Wensel brothers would consider adopting me that would be awesome"
I'm with Fred on this one :D
U.P. w/Ron LaClair
Alaska w/Steve H.
Idaho w/Elknut
Montana w/Baker boys
Iowa w/Rothars
Everyday hunts in home state of Wi w/Wensels
Targets of opprotunity anywhere w/Charlie Lamb
I m sure there are others, but those come to mind 1st
I like Shedrock's plan and he and Randy would definitely be on my shortlist when I reached WY, my favorite state.
Weekend of hogs with the TG Ladies.
Sine I am a married woman I have to be carefull on the boys I name:) I am sure the hubby would not mind me saying Mr. Ron LaClair and his lady Redbird.
BB for goats, Pat Garrett for bears, Gene Wensel for whitetails.. I have been lucky to hunt with Roger R. in Iowa and Idaho, and I am meeting up with Pat in May. Saving points for Goats in Wy so I may get the chance to share a blind with BB.
Is Jennay Weiter on this site? If she is, then it would be her!!
Even though she does use one of "those" kinds of bows, I could help her with the transition!! :D
Please.....no compound kill pics....thanks. :campfire:
I am honored to be named amount this list. There are many many awesome people here. I hope to get to hunt with most all of you.
It would be an honor and a pleasure to hunt with any tradganger. If I had to choose one it would be Mark Baker and his boys.....guess that would be three instead of one!
Kentucky TJ and Cherokee Scout!
I am honored as well to be named by some of you guys. Thanks. I have hunted with quite a few TG members and have had enjoyed it.
I would like to spend a few days with Brother Mud in the swamp for sure. He has an invite by the way.....
I look forward to future hunts with new folks as well as hunting with guys I have hunted with in the past again.CJ and Dave are always welcome back
For me I would enjoy the "camps" with the groups that come to them like a Sept hunt at Twin oaks with RangerB...
Then a hunt with my Heros Biggie and Joebuck at Martys place for Turkeys with The HogDancer Thomas to show me how to kill pigs ...
What kind of Fall "dream" would be complete without a trip to Shrew Haven with Mr. Ron and crew...
Then of course the Texas hunt at Solana with T and Guru and maybe get to shake Young Skylers hand. Would be some great adventures for sure.God Bless you Folks and Happy New Year.RC
There are many good TG'ers.
But one particular I'd like to hunt with is good ol' Mudd.
From what I can decipher, me and him have a lot of the same respect for animals.
Second, I'd love to hunt with Buejeger and Margly, 'cause they seemed like great guys when I met them this fall :)
Turkeys with Joebuck, that guy has things figured out, and yet he still keeps figuring things out. I like it.
Hogs with RC.
And yeah chasing elk with the boys from Wyoming would be a hoot.
That's easy !!! Bill Dunn  I consider Bill a good friend, and would love to hunt with him sometime.
Bill
that's easy ..... Barry Wensel
Daniel Yononindo is one on my very long list!!!
Any and all for starters!!
I would like to walk the swamps and hunt with RC.
I would like to hunt with Gene & Barry. If you guys see this...I hunt for free! :0)
Jason
I am humbled that anyone would select me as one to hunt with but at least I know I could make you look good hunting as I could make an excellent bad example...lol
It would be an honor to share a campfire with any of you!
Happy New Year!!
God bless,Mudd
I would like to share a hunting camp with Whip, Huntrdfk, Birdbow, Biggie Hoffman, the Langer boys, Randy Morin and Mark Baker.
I like what Shedrock said:
"If I was wealthy and didn't have to work, had 365 days a year hunting time, I would travel all over our great nation and hunt with you all."
I agree 100 percent.
Joe
Doc Noc and Arwin
I've been blessed with the chance to hunt with a bunch of Trad Gangers over the years, and have relished every one of them. I sure hope there are many more for me in the future. In fact I know that there will be when I get to add another to my list with Gregg Dudley this spring.
For me, it all started with a trip to the Texas Sweat one year when I filled a cancellation spot. From there it was more Texas Sweats, Bear Quest, Pig Gigs, St. Jude hunts, and just connecting with people I have met here. It's all added so much to my hunting it is hard for me to even comprehend.
Take advantage of every opportunity you can find to share hunting camps with like minded people here. It really is incredible. Bid on a St. Jude hunt, sign on with one of the Trad Gang group hunts such as Pig Gig or Bear Quest. Book a trip with kennyM, Ray Hammond, or any of the other Trad Gang sponsor outfitters.
There are so many ways to make these things happen if you just take the inititive to make it happen.
As mentioned above, it is hard to name names because of the feeling of leaving someone out. I have met Terry Green, Guru, Skylar, DW, and Larry Surtees but have not hunted with them. It would be an honor to hunt with any of those guys.
And like stated above, over and over again, most all the guys here are worthy of sharing a campfire with.
I will hunt just about anything that is legal with my stickbow and would be glad to share that hunt with most everyone on here!
Hope to make this happen with some of you one of these days,
Bisch
ive been fortunate enough to be able to hunt and shoot with several members of this site. all from n.c. of course.ive also went to stump shoots and 3-d shoots with alot of members here. everytime i do, i have a grand time, and leave with a memory to last forever. i look forward to the next time i get to shoot or hunt with a tg member. rv
Cool thread...
I hunted Elk in CO a few years back with John Berger (MO Sherpa) and was a hunt of a life time.
After the last year and a 1/2 of my life, 2012 is going to be one hell of a year in regards to hunting and in life.
I guess I should take Guru up on that hunt one day also...
And my aussie mate Ben and I have been talking of hunting together for years... so yeh, one of these days...
ak.
Al you are the only one for me Thnaks Shane
It would be awesome to just start a rotation. That way ..everybody would get a chance to hunt with everybody!!
Jason
That sounds good... it gets a little lonely up here "bow and arrow" speaking! LOL!
Not a one has mentioned my name! Lol!
Don't feel bad, they didn't choose me, either.
Wha, wah, wah.
Matt
well id probably like to hunt with any of ya, but right now im thinking either daniel reynolds or raging water would be my choice!!
I got to share a campfire with Barry, Gene, and Mike Mitten at Denton Hill. I could sit there for hours and just listen to them talk.
As far as hunting, it would have to be the guys I spend cyber time with in the history/collecting forum. Bowdoc, Wade Phillips, Philip Leone, Jack Shanks, Jack Millet, Copicaso, Mike Shaw, oldskoolarcher, crookedstick
I have been blessed and had the pleasure of hunting with some great local Tradgangers: Lenny Brown, Doug Campbell, Mark Baker, Dave Johnson, Hunter Rung, and Randy Morin, to name a few. I would enjoy hunting and sharing a camp with most everybody on this site but there are a few that I would to like follow around for a couple of days to see how they do it. No need to hunt, just to be there to observe, learn, and share a camp fire so I could pick their brains. They are: Curtis or RC for hogs, Ferret Wy for elk, Tracy, Barry, Gene, and Rodger for Whitetails, or Steve H for anything in Alaska. However, the one at the top of my list would be running the kitties with Robin Severe.
Danny Rowan. His generosity has touched my friends and I in the past.
Well, German Dog is a dear friend of mine and I've already hunted with him a few times, but I'll list him again and always. We have a lot of fun together.
Also, Boomerang is at the top of my list. He and I should be finally getting together to chase some rabbits this Saturday (I'll take pics and post up once it happens).
Then of course the Wensel brothers, just because they seem like they would be fun. My dad and I are considering attending the Pig Gig hunt next year. Hopefully that'll work out.
Last but not least, there are several PBS members that I want to hunt with, but not sure what they're TradGang handles are.
Heck, I would love to hunt with just about anyone that has a high level of ethics when bowhunting with a stickbow.
all very cool I think,, I think even though I'm born and bred in inner city Boston, Ma. I would fit in well with the Trad hunters from the south and east of the mississippi, the hunting & fishing , the way of life, the food, I was born in the wrong part of the country.... I finished those delicious frog legs now pass the squirrel stew...oh and I always have been a sucka for a lady with the southern accent..
but I'd like to hunt with Tony Sanders in MD,, hunted in SC with him and he's someone I'd love to hunt with again PLUS it was the 1st time in my life someone said grace at my dinner table now I keep a small pocket bible that was giving to me at the fair in my flannel to read while on the stand, I think tony changed my life a bit.
also Larry Burford in Arkansas I still have some pics of his hunts. and I don't have any certain name but I'd like to hunt hogs with someone who is strictly selfbow like dean torges was (or still is) but I'd love to do a selfbow only hunt for anything with someone who lives and breathes primitive archery, I do dabble in it but I want more!
daniel and Matt - If it makes you feel better, I'd like to hunt with you guys.
Boy! Where to begin? Others have already said it, but I always enjoy meeting Tradgangers so any one of them would be great. I do have a few in mind though. These are people I haven't met... yet.
Katie, because we are two like minded women with similar circumstances.
Pat B, Mudd, Biggie, Ray Hammond, Charlie Lamb, Ron LaClair, Gene and Barry Wensel, Mike Mitten (just read his book I got for Christmas btw) just to name a few.
Special stuff T-17! Good on Tony! Thanks.
Forgot Mike Mitten. Always try best to be as grounded & connected.
I would like to hang out with Joe Skipp and RC for a few days. I'm perty well self taught, but would love to have a mentor!!
Jason
I forgot the Rothaars!
Pinecone
I've had the honor of meeting, sharing a fire, flinging arrows at foam animals and hunting with many of the fine TG members.......way too many to list here. I'm better off for knowing each and every one of you.
Charlie Lamb's stories had me coming back to this web site time and time again.......long before I ever joined. I would be honored to share a hunting camp with him....just to hear those stories told over a camp fire.
:campfire:
Gregg Coffey
RC,Ron LaClair,Big Jim,and many more than I have space for.....lots and lots of great people here.
Buckeye Hunter, Moose eye Levi, Alex Boester, Longbow Logan, Tony Phillips, Troy Breeding, BGhunter, Don Drummer. Hope to see yall soon if not see you in november. Greatest guys on the planet to hunt with. Also Miranda Drummer. Shes so up beat. :)
Grinch and Pon - you honor and humble me (hope I didn't miss anyone else who did). thank you so much. Me? I can't imagine not enjoying a hunt with anyone good natured and friendly. Mostly i just want to continue being able to hunt, as long as possible.
Which ever one will take me to there honey hole. :D
There are many but Steve Gorr is someone I hope to hunt with one of these days.
Harl and Journeyman,, They would pass on all the big bucks and let me take them , ;-)
Well I just noticed this thread and noticed my name on here a couple of times. Thanks! I was surprise, as I really don't post that much, not much to say I guess....? I myself wouldn't mind hunting with about any of you guy's. Ferret makes my short, short list because I want him to show me the indian shelters he has pic's of!
Id like to hunt with KentuckyTJ and Lowbow, seem like a couple of good guys to hang out with !
Thats a loaded question there are those I admire for their hunting prowess and those here that I consider friends,if I had to choose I would say I would like to meet my TGMM brothers,Jake Barboza,Comber,Guru,PatB.,RC,for me I think if the opportunity ever happens the commaradery would make the hunt.
Each and every one of you. I hope to have that many seasons ahead of me to acompish it.
Would like to hunt with Joe Skipp, Sergio and Jack Kempf and anyone of you.
Randy
Vance "Iron Bull" Brewer.
I usually sit and listen to the wisdom shared on here rather than speaking. There are a ton of great folks on here and I would be honored to hunt with them all. But if I had to pick a couple people who I have never met...Charlie Lamb(love his stories), RC(born killer), Andy Ivy(dude hunts in amazing places), and Raging Waters(120 lb bows look like limp noodles in his hands).
Which ever one invites me! :bigsmyl:

Boy, am I happy I got on TG this morning. Somebody wants to hunt with me! I will bring a super heavy bow!
Matt
Oh, and I'll shoot a Lodge Pole arrow. That way we don't have to trail the Bunny. It will just be a puff of fur!
Matt

Matt that would be the only reason that I wouldn't put you down....lol I love you brother but you'd make me look like a wimp... hahaha!!
BTW: You are always welcome at my campfire or my home(not that you want to slum with the likes of me.)
God bless,Mudd
PS:Most of the time I have to tie a bone around my neck just to get my dogs to spend time with me.
God bless,Mudd
Almost anywhere, for almost anything, with 97.9 of the people on this site  [ If my wife lets me go!! ]
I've had the pleasure of going on one of the Texas Sweat hunts years ago and I'd love to do that again. Lots of guys were there who I'd love to hunt with again and there are a lot of people on here who I've never met who I'd also like to hunt with.
In no particular order and I'm sure I'd forget several here are a few.
Dean Torges to hunt squirrel or deer but really to try some of his pancakes I keep hearing about.
Charlie Lamb to hunt anything from MO whitetails to Wyoming mulies, elk or even ground squirrels.
Joe Coots I've shot with at his home and I was AMAZED with his ability. Would love to chase some hogs with him if he could put up with my lousy shooting.
Roy Williams aka Mudd. I'd love to run with his squirrel dogs at least once.
Ron LaClaire seems to be a "one of a kind" throwback from time and I think I'd get along great and share many interests.
Gene and Barry Wensel, Biggie Hoffman, and the Mitten Brothers all in one camp would be amazing. I'd be like a fly on the wall soaking up stories and advise. And likely, that camp would be smack dab in the middle of some prime whitetail deer territory!
RC is a meat makin' machine and I'd love to chase some hogs with him too.
And there is another southern fella whose name is blanking out on me right now. He's getting up there in years but from what I hear he'd likely outwalk, outclimb and outhunt me any day. Keeps a journal of all his bow kills, had a video here years ago climbing a tree with gaffs and went from the ground to sitting in a hang on in about a minute and a half. Dang it, I just CAN NOT think of his name. I believe he also had his truck camper shell fixed up with a bed and gear storage that was pretty cool too. I'm sure some of you know who I mean. I want to say he is from Louisiana maybe?
Old Jim Fetrow was around here years ago and was known for his yew bow knowledge. I'd love to walk the Oregon rain forests with him for a few days.
Van/TX is another who "used to be" around here. I've met him several times but never for hunting. Would like to chase some TX deer and hogs with him some time.
And that is just scratching the surface. I've got a bunch of names rolling around in my head but this would get even longer than it is if I kept putting them down so I'll leave it at that.
Bottom line, I've probably never met a tradganger who I would NOT hunt with.
Thanks all that mentioned me. I would love to hunt with you all. I really don`t get lost that much....
Dave, Thats Mr. Warren Womack your thinking of. A great Southern Gentleman and has forgot more about killing deer than I`ll ever know.RC
RC,
THANKS! You're right. I used to love reading his posts. You could just tell he was one of them "been there, done that" kinda guys. Does he still come around here much? I have not been on here nearly as much as I used to and have not been posting much or keeping up with everyone else's posts either.
The Wensels, Denny Sturgis jr, RC, Kentucky TJ, Lowebow, and Cherokee Scout!
Thats an easy question for me. Ever since I started reading the Solana threads on here I have wanted to go there and hunt with Terry and Guru for sure. other than that I would like to hunt with Skye and his dad. That on would be a little more possible since I live in Alabama myself.
I would just like a chance to hunt. I'm always too busy in the fall. It's my fault though. I could take a day off, but the whole time I'm hunting I'm thinking about everything I have to get done before Christmas and it makes it hard to concentrate on the stalk.
