I am amazed at the wealth of great information that this web site and group shares with each other in the progression and enjoyment of shooting traditional and feel that this is one thing that sets we 'traditional' archers and bowhunters apart from our wheel-bow counterparts!
Great stuff!
Hey scoobie, you are right. Greatest bunch of people around. I grew up in Ephratah & went to johnstown schools. I live in utica now. In April we have a stumpshoot in johnstown hopefully you can attend. Always great getting together with tradgangers.
Hi Crotch Horn! Small world! I lived in Oneida for yrs prior to 2008 and went to college in Utica as well! Nice towns there were!
Would love to shoot with you guys - Johnstown isn't far from me and I don't know any traditional shooters in my area any longer! There was a group back about 23 yrs ago in my area - but the club dissolved after some club issues with members taking money from the club funds, etc - which I think is very sad - and, it seems man of them went on to go back to their compounds as well eventually.
Check out some of the NY threads. You will a good number of guys from around the area. Lots of really great people from around you. Good luck in your trade adventures. You will see plenty of posts about the stump shoot in March. Usually walk the state land in rockwood off rt 29. Ken also hosts a great hunt in the fall on the mountain over in rockwood. Lots of guys having a really fun time together. Plenty of turkeys there also. Enjoy.
OK sounds good! Thanks!

Yup this place has a ton of good info and people giving it. You can join a virgin and after a month your a jigilo. Best place on earth.
Indeed...I am also a huge fan of G. Fred Asbell's books, etc.
I been a couple years and learned more in the short time I been here than I did the first 5 years I shot a stick bow. Great folks for sure.
I been reading Freds Books and have to agree, Great info.
