Title: Flemish Strings
Post by: Wayde Burke on December 26, 2011, 06:34:00 AM
I'm getting ready to switch my recurve to a flemish string. Who makes the best flemish string? My bow has F.F. on it now. Thanks for you advice.

the many sponsor string makers here all make very good strings. but your milage my vary as to what string material works the best with your setup
wether you go with dacron or the low stretch (fastflight) materials

just some food for thought

Go to the Sponsors Classified section and look up Oliverstacey (Josh Sowerby).  He has been my string builder for the last couple of years, great strings and a great guy to deal with.  If your bow will handle a FF type string, I would definitely go with it.  I use D-97 on everything I shoot except on some older bows, and the modern material is just superior in every way IMHO.

Josh Sowerby aka- Oliverstacey has been making my string for a few years now and I have never had anything but good things to say. Plus he is a Tradgang sponsor, love to support those folks!  In a test I got 3 seasons out of one string. Pretty awesome considering how much I shoot.    :D

Here is one he did for my Northern Mist, beautiful!!
