Does anyone make a layered target that does not burn itself into gasket lacquer??? All thanks!!
I quit using gasket lacquer for that very reason.
Switch to Dalys Profin to eliminate target burn. I dip 3 coats.
Will it stick to gasket lacquer? I already have tons of arrows.
Don't know for sure. You could lightly sand the GL and do a test dip to check adhesion and compatibility on a test arrow.
Where do you get the Dalys ?
thanks
you can buy Daly's from them direct cheaper than anyone else - google it. A quart is 20 bucks
Best method of application?
OK
I tried something (desperation) that does work some. Armor-all. Seems to stay on the arrow for 5 or 6 shots at least. Better - but I hate these targets!
Paste wax helps also, Pledge, Silcone spray ect but it's a temp fix.
Armor all works for me. Gets your arrows super slick.
We always used soap at 3d tourneys. Just keep a ziplock with a half a bar of it in your quiver and rub it on as needed.

Ground Hunter,
I dip my Dalys in a homemade PVC tube. I stir the Dalys in the quart can well to mix the liquids and solids, then pour into the dip tube. My dip tube has a bell at the top that bumps it up from 1" diameter to 2" diameter PVC. The displacement from the arrow has room to go without overflowing the tube and give me finger room to hold the arrow by the nock for a full length dip. When finished I pour my Dalys back in the can and turn my dip tube upside down so it can run back into the can.
Well I don't know how long it will last - but the Armor-all made a HUGE difference. I'll try some Dalys with the next batch of shafts. Thanks All !!!! :D
