Anyone know the correct range for brace height on a 54" browning nomad I?

If u send it to me I'll figure it out for you   ;)    :bigsmyl:

lol! not this time Dave. Still hoping for some input here. Im not too familiar with short bows like this. I like to shoot stiffer spines with a high brace so I tried 7" and it sounded like a gong. Probably gonna have to see how 6 1/2" feels.

i like to start high, my son's Safari 54" shoots well at 8"

Let me know, I have a 52" that I will be putting a sting on.
TTT

I'll string mine up and check for you. I think it's more not less.

I have one 54" 56# and shoot mine at 8" shoots like a charm quiet and accurate...

My 38# Nomad shoots great at 7 7/8" and my 56# Nomad is perfect at 8 1/8"

Thanks for all the responses! I shoot a little bit of a stiffer spine and 8-1/4" worked perfect. Same thing for my 56" explorer. Merry christmas!!

Most of the production recurves from that era shot around an 8+" brace.  That is a good starting point.  Sounding like a "gong" generally means you are way low.

Glad you nailed her down....Merry Christmas
