I thought that some of you might like to see some arrowheads and other stone artifacts that a friend of mine has found near his home in western Canada during his lifetime.
The amazing thing is , he has personally found every piece and this is only part of his collection!

Wow! That's a NICE collection! Some many of them look unbroken too! Has he thought about hunting with one of them?
I don't think that he has but I sure would like to ! I'll check into the game laws there and then see what he thinks.
There must be a sharp one in that pile.
Nice collection of knives scrapers and arrowheads.
I can see half a dz. that are real old and real good. I like that round scrapper.
Very nice stuff, hold on to them and get those out of the bags where they are not banging against each other.
Wow. That is awesome!
Lots of Guilfords, Palmers and looks like a few fluted heads in there as well. Daltons and perhaps a Hardaway fluted head in there. If they are they are really old. 10-12,000 years old if my memory serves. Those come from around the end of the last ice age.
I also see a drill, 3rd from left, next to the last row. Cool stuff!
Very nice!
That a great collection.
Wow he must be on the site of an a very well used old village. I have only found 2 in my life. That is just amazing.
That's cool!
Hi Ken! :wavey: Awesome collection! Is youre friend a native?
That one round head has been in the back of my mind since I've seen this post. Does anyone know the use of it?
A total guess on my part would be to use it to disembowell an animal. That might be useful on larger animals where they had penetration issues.
Does anyone know the use???
Answers to questions:
1) The owner of this collection is not native.
2) Someone told me that the round one is a scraper, but it sure wouldn't attach to a very thick handle if it was.
Maybe somebody on this site could give us a better idea...
WOW!And that's only part of his collection? It puts mine to shame.
I have yet to find one first :readit:
Nice collection.
