SC is now species dependent since you have to use expandables for bears.
Ohio says 3/4" for the broadhead but they don't say anything about the material.
Utah it's ok.
Louisiana O.K.
AL (Alabama) does not endorse, but law does not prohibit them either
Ar, La, Mo.

What? that is a new one for me. Even the compound guys around my area aren't wild about expandables.
oregon does..
The regs read...
"Legal weapons include archery equipment (arrows or bolts must have expandable broadheads), muzzleloaders, centerfire rifles (.270 caliber and greater), handguns (.44 caliber and greater), and shotguns with slugs or buckshot."
Thought it must of have been a type too when I first heard it. Apparently not. Can you imagine a scenario that would have spawned this outcome?
OK in Ohio also. I've hit but not recovered one. It was raining and went onto posted property where I wasn't allowed to go.
