My brother in law brought this bow up a few days wondering what it was. Now I am wondering too. I built a string for it and I shot pretty good. I has what appears to be some kind of gold plated limbs and an aluminum riser that a shelf on both sides with little round inserts to serve as the rest. Let me know if any of you have seen anything like this. Thanks, John

Wow! It looks like a very early version of the metal riser. Does the riser look to have had some kind of handle(possible wood) can you give some of the specs(approx weight, length) . Is there anything written on the limbs? Something of a find to hang on to.Maxx
DuoShelf Super Chief? Pro Chief? Had one similar on trad history/collecting forum not to long ago. Maybe search through there? Good luck.
An Ivanhoe maybe???
Looks like a Grimes to me and it is missing the cover on the grip area. They were made in Pontiac Michigan. Aluminum fatigues severely and may stay bent or break.
That's what I was thinking Bjorn. Grimes SuperChief, or ProChief? My buddy has one. Still shoots great. His has glass and maple limbs I think.
Thank you gentleman. I shall use your clues and continue the search. I have traded my brother in law out of it just because of my curiousity. I haven't got any specs on it yet as he hasn't delivered it yet but I will. There is a place on the lower limb where a sticker used to be.
