My first Classic Whip, Dan has out-done himself again!

That looks just like my new whip. I have had mine a little over a month, and never expected it to be such a top performer. Performs as good as my ACS, what a bow!

I can't say enough good things about it! I almost want to sleep with it, but the wife won't let me.

Outstanding!!!  Is that cocobolo riser, it looks awesome.  I'd guess either juniper or yew limbs.  Great looking bow...Mike

Travis, the bow is 66" long, 54lbs.@29". The riser is cocobolo, the veneers some exceptional Juniper cut near Dan's home. Tip overlays are cocobolo and riser overlays yew, myrtlewood and cocobolo. It is a worn-out phrase but pictures truly don't do this bow justice, especially these pictures. I will try to get some in better light tomorrow.

Hey Mike how have you been? Yes again the riser is cocobolo, it is amazing how the striations lay out so symmetrically then suddenly turn away at a right angle in the second photo down. Dan commented that he had never seen a piece grow like that and I certainly have not.
Thanks Mike for the compliment and all the others too, I will pass them along to Dan.

Jim, that is what stood out to me.  It almost looks like two different pieces of cocobolo glued together.  Awesome and very unique.  I know you'll love that bow, the classic Whip is my favorite!!!  Enjoy...Mike

Thomas, she is a fantastic shooter. Actually I don't notice it being any smoother-drawing than my standard Whips which are all 62" bows but then Dan's bows have made me realize that limb design has much more to do with "smooth" than limb length. I am still amazed at how well his little 52" 1 pc. recurve shoots at my 29" draw. I find that this bow has everything that I loved about the standard Whip and my Super Ds rolled into one bow. I chronographed some arrows the other day and she is very quick, smooth and stable and even considering every Toelke I've ever shot has been quiet, this bow is real quiet!

Congrats on a fine bow! She's a looker, and being a Toelke shooter myself, I know she's got to be a shooter. Every bow Dan has built for me exceeded my expectations. I have sold a couple that cause me pain everytime I think of them. I was in Bowies last year with one of my Whips and the guy in their bowshop said "Hey, Jim Wright is a Toelke shooter too". I live right across the line in Mississippi near the Lake Mary/woodville area south of Natchez.

Love the juniper Jim!   My Lynx will be shipped tomorrow and has the same juniper veneers coupled with a riser that will consist of Pau Ferro, micarta and ebony accents.  It will have Dan' s new HS limb design.  I do hope the post office isn't behind on their deliveries.

Wow check out those veneers - thats exactly the problem with trad archery; you see one of those and say "I need that too".
