Title: 3D camo
Post by: OBIOU HUNTER on December 17, 2011, 08:58:00 AM
Hi,

I'm a french bow hunter and I'd like to buy a 3D camo for next summer in order to hunt Roe Deer ( a little european deer). Here in the archery or hunting store there is not a lot of choice... So I'll buy directly in a US store.

I need a 3D camo clothing very, very silent ! Roe deer is very difficult to hunt...   :banghead:

What do you think about the cabela's "leafy wear Pro II" ?

What would you recommend to me ? I also like the ASAT vanish, but I fear the synthetic leafs are not silent when drawing the bow to anchor or when walking in the woods.

Thanks,
             chris

I vote for the ASAT leafy suit and also get the face cover. Wash several times and it's then quiet.

I've used a Cabelas leafy jacket and boonie hat for years.   Very good camo, light weight and compactible.

The leafy stuff is inherently louder than fleece.

It does get more quiet with washing.
It does work well as camo.

It also seems to stag and make noise on tree bark if you happen to lean on a tree when hunting.

Also always seems to make more noise during the draw.

I've used it successfully on deer quite a few times.

However I've switched to fleece for a quieter camo.
