Well deer season is about over time to start thinkin bout spring how many kill birds with no camo?
I did it once with the longbow and no camo. My buddy and I were heading back to the truck dressed in black, because we were hunting out of a blind. About half way back we hear 2 toms fire off maybe 100yds away. There was a stone wall between us and them and an opening in it directly in front of us. I threw up the decoy and made a dash for the wall. I set up 10yds to the side of the break and my buddy fell back over the hill. I gave a few calls and when they started coming, I shut up and he called. The toms walked right through the opening fixated on the decoy out ahead of them and my friends calling just over the rise. I waited until they got 20yds past me and was able to get a shot off on the biggest tom. Everything just fell into place that morning. Normally I wouldn't even attempt to hunt them without camo
Why try? Bowhunting turkeys without a blind isn't hard enough?
Only way I'm hunting a turkey without camo is if they start making a double bull blind in plaid.
With a shotgun, yes. With a bow, no. I guess you could if you had a lot of good cover in front of you. Just don't have a bare face, or bare hands. They pick that up quickly.
I got two words for you. "Good Luck"!!!
I've never really tried without camo except in a blind wearing jeans and a black shirt. I've only killed 1 without a blind with a bow. I enjoy hunting them without the blind, but grabbing the blind and punching a tag once in awhile is plenty of fun as well.
This guy came by an old abandoned farm shack I was hiding in. I was glad to get him because the packrat building a huge nest in the shed with me was getting annoyed with my presence.

Once while I was deer hunting from the ground during rifle season I had four hens feeding around me at less than ten yards. I had a bare face and bare hands and was wearing hunter orange and they never paid me any attention. But with that said, I'm not hunting turkeys without full camo.
I think it would be a fluke if i could pull that off. Im not even gonna try
All the time with no camo...but I sit in a pop up blind.
Looks like the "Wild Traditions" has some footage of no camo turkey hunting.
I called 3 gobblers in while wearing a white t-shirt once while doing some summertime scouting. I didn't move and they didn't act like I was even there. Turkeys are weird sometimes.

I'm not good enough with camo.....
Wear a ghillie. It's a highly portable blind that takes no time to set up.
Dave.
I have harvested several turkeys with my longbow. two from stands, none from ground blind, and one from stalking, but none with no camo, am sure the situation will work when right, but around here few and far between.
