Well would you? We are going to have a little contest. It was Tom's idea to make the picture on the home page of the Zipper website change every month or so. The plan is to have this contest to see who can post the best picture of their Zipper in action. That picture will then become the feature for the month. There does not have to be a dead critter in the picture. The picture can be of a beautiful scenery or a well done display of archery items as long as it has your Zipper in the picture. If the picture is of you with an animal it must be tastefully done with very little or no blood, and absolutely no tongues hanging out. That means you or the animal, Owlbait, you either Benjy. So what do you think? It might be fun.
For your trouble you will not only be featured on the website but you will also win a pack of Grizzly broadheads. Once they are ready that is.
Bill
So many stipulations. Your making it tough on orginality and creativeness. How about me Tebowing with my ZSR? Lord knows it will take prayer and a miracle for me to fill a tag this year! Great idea Bill and Tom. I hope to bring something together for at least an honorable mention.
I don't mean to make it tough on your Mike. I just know the mind of all the usual suspects and figured I had better at least try to keep them on track. :goldtooth: I know its like giving you a new Scooby Doo coloring book and only one crayola.OH THE HUMANITY!!!! :biglaugh:
Great idea Bill !!! Hopefully I have some pictures from Texas for you.
Bill
Dang! This is a great idea and here I am....Zipper-less :( :knothead:
It's my own fault I guess...
Send me a Zipper bow Bill and I will get all kinds of pictures with it for you?? :bigsmyl: :bigsmyl:
Great idea! Would those of us who own Thompson Zippers be eligible?
Thanks,
Joe

ill try and keep him from hamming it up

ABSOLUTELY Joe!!! Without Bob Thompson there would have been no Zipper.
Jake your demo bow will be headed out after the first of the year.Chuck is right that is one great looking pup.
Good luck Kevin! You will need it.
That sounds like a cool idea!!
I must say that's a great idea though I dont own a Zipper. Even if I had a Zipper I would have to opt out as I'm too dang ugly! Keep up the good work.

Looking forward to the bow Bill....I appreciate it.
:biglaugh: Possum That has not stopped me yet!
Guys, as the website's headline on the welcome page is "Welcome to Zipper Country" we are trying to portray that in the photo. Here is an example of what we are looking for.
Horizontal high resolution digital photos please.

Something I am always forgetting to do....take more pics and more than that....put more thought into them!
That pic of Lowebow was on another site I visit and is one of the reasons I started to get the itch.
Let's get this kicked off!

I'm trying Izzy!! I'm trying!!Dont worry you will be the first person I call! Benjy will just have to stick his bottom lip out. :p
mystick all my current bows are 3 piece bows.It would not be a good thing to get one back in one piece! :goldtooth:
Glad you are looking out for me strigstretcher. :D
Hey since I can't get out to the wild enough, maybe I can get a pic of me and my new Zipper in a unconventional scenery........Urban Zipper !!!!

WOW i think you have a winner
My first real bow was a zipper that i ordered after seeing Stacy Groscup shoot at the WV traditional rondevu around 1984.And sold it after 20 years of use and it never let me down. :knothead:
I can feel my bottom lip starting to swell! :bigsmyl:
I want on the list for a one piece or even better a two piece forward handle
Benjy you tuck that lip in or bird might land on it
Bill a man has wants and needs too you know...lol. Nothing beats a try but a failure. I thought benjy was going to get me one for all those feathers we worked on, but that's another story...lol. Good luck with the pictures and look forward to seeing them
When are we going to see some pics of one-piece bows, or have I missed them somewhere?
I am going to have to browse the site every month now, to see all the contest winners! Nice pics, y'all!
Killdeer
No one piece pictures yet.The form is built but the steel cradle is still in the works.
Steel cradle?
That must be one tough baby!
Killdeer
Good idea, I have a few pictures somewhere to throw in.
Thanks for all the photos guys and keep them coming. Bill and Tracy will choose one soon.
How about this one?
:saywhat: If it is the only one...
Felix I know you have some good photos of you in the Italian countryside with your Zipper. Why don't you email me some.
Here is the only decent one that I have where my big black quiver isnt overly visible.
I'm awful fond of this one! Your pictures do not need to be of a big animal.A very good picture of a doe will carry more weight than a poor picture of a big buck.
Good picture Aaron! Now we are getting somewhere.
Ohhhhh Yeah Aaron that's perfect. Great pic. Bill have we found a winner for the first?

Lets give it just a little longer. Maybe start this on Jan.1. What do you all think?
That is a real good one Tom!!
The actual front page shot is a good one so we need something to match.Jan can give some guys plenty of time for a good pic!
Here you go Bill

Not an action shot, but it does show off my Zipper...
It's good that there doesn't have to be a harvest in the photo, That way I may have a chance to have a photo used........ :goldtooth:
I'm partial to this one, but maybe I'll get bored on the stand and come up with something that is deemed "artistic" enough - perhaps a Zipper in one hand a dillo in the other, or how bout some pyrotechnics? :bigsmyl:
Nothing fancy but I never miss a chance to show some pictures! :bigsmyl:

Ok guys. I just put the new page up. Bill thought we better go with the boss first. Smart man.
Keep them coming. I'll change it every month or so.
Great choice TJ! You have some fine photos to choose from for the future too!
Smart man indeed!!!! :biglaugh:
Great picture !!!
Bill
That is an excellent photo...good choice boss or not! Captures the essence that is Traditional bowhunting. :clapper:
Very cool, natural pic! Makes me want to get in the woods.
LimBender,,,your zipper in one hand and what in the other? Im not sure that would be artistic,,sounds more pornographic to me,,lol.

Jake suckin' up to Mrs. Tracy won't get your bow to you any sooner. She's heard it all before. LOL

Pulling out all the stops Tom :D ....but I am guessing that Bill will finish mine quickly just to stop me from calling so much :p
Kituwa, sorry for that bad mental image. ;)
I'm of course referring to those armored critters that root around and make deer like noises in the woods at dark. They also make a valiant run for it in Bill's last video - so there is a Zipper connection in there somewhere.

Bill & Tracy have chosen Aaron's pic to grace the front page. Congrats on winning the first one Aaron Bill will be sending you some broadheads and I will get it up there this week.
Keep them coming guys, I think we will switch it every three months so keep posting your "Zipper Country" photos so Bill can choose the next winner.
congrats bro.. Can't wait to see these new improved broadheads..
Nice winning pic PSU.
Allright, this one is pretty subtle - it was my first attempt at ground hunting (not in a blind) in NE Tx. You can see where the hogs are coming to the water on the opposite bank. I think the picture may be better without the shooter in it. :D
