Thanks to all you guys for the great info that is posted on this site, I have learned so much. I used to shoot and hunt with recurves, about 25 years ago I hung them up to hunt with muzzleloaders, when Washington State made us choose our weapons. This year I was drawn for a multi-weapon elk tag, when I went to get my bows I had stored at my relatives house we discovered his son stole them and pawned them all. In my search for my Savora recurve I found this site. One of the members bought a couple of my bows at the pawn shop and made a post about the Savora. I was able to contact him through the site, he graceously me sold back the bow he still had, but he donated the Savora to the site auction. When he found out I didn't have a bow suitable to hunt elk with he sold me his Bill Stewart longbow. I have learned so much at this site. I am shooting better than I ever have and last week I killed my first archery elk with the
Stewart longbow. I am again hooked on archery, I love shooting that longbow. Thanks again to a great bunch of guys.
Welcome back to bowhunting...congrats on the elk, maybe pics if you have them?
Glad to hear it all worked out for you, welcome back.
Welcome to the :campfire: That's a shame about your bows. Glad you were able to put your hands on one and make meat in the end...Congrats!
Sorry about your bows. Can we see some pictures of the elk?
Sorry guys I was by myself and shot it just before dark. Was in a hurry to get it quartered while I still had a little light, didn't get pictures.
Too bad about your bows....but sure glad to hear you back at it strong! Congrats on the Elk!

Welcome back friend.

Great story!!!
Congrats on the elk.
A big part of Traditional Archery is archers helping archers.
Locked storage or someone else's house: There is usually a cost.
Sad tale. Sorry for the kid to be such a punk. Sorry for his parents.
You've found new ground and probably better bow. Today's bowyers are building bows that are quite advanced for sticks.
Congrats! It is a great site and the people here make it a great place to be. Enjoy!
