Title: Raptor Archery - Sneak Peak
Post by: SecondSeason on December 15, 2011, 04:26:00 PM
Passing through Hood River yesterday I got a sneak peak on something Ted has been working on in his Super Secret Santa Shop.  Not only was I able to see what he was working on he encouraged me to take it outside and shoot as many arrows off of it as I wanted.  I figured it out as the 5 arrow left the bow what he had in mind---I was hooked.

Being fairly new to archery it was news to me that Ted used to make a different type of Bow something called the Signature.  Well let me say WOW what a beautiful bow and does it shoot nice-and fast.

One thing I have learned about Ted is that he will just put this up for sale without as much as a "Hey everyone take a look at my new bow".  Someone that knows and appreciates American made, high quality products should take a look at this.  Mine is on order as we speak.  Merry Christmas everyone.

Yeah this post is worthless without pics.

I will say this, I've done business with Ted for at least 7 years and always been very pleased, he will go out of his way to make sure you are happy.

That makes me a life long customer.

OK Treb, thanks buddy , guess the cat is out of the bag.I will make sure that a large Yew log falls on you as you walk in the door next time you are in town.
Pictures yeah , I wish I could , we had a break in three weeks ago, no worries they caught the SOB!
But one of the items he took was the camera I use to upload pics to the web page.
Hopefully they will give me back that soon.
I will try to upload a few over the weekend with another camera.
However for now I can tell you , yes I am making the Raptor Signature longbow again and yes its me thats making it .In a nutshell , yew limbs under clear glass with elk antler tips and a radius cut laminated forward set riser in 60", 62" and 64".
Even the 60" and 62" bow pulls like a longer bow due to the limb design.
Fast flight compatible deflex/reflex flatbow.
Pics soon as well as on the web site.

I have to get out and cut bow wood today, I will drag a bow along and find a good spot to take a couple of pictures.
I will try to load a few tomorrow.
Its my day off but we have late snow this year so I need to be out cutting for next years wood, plus I just need a day in the woods.

I was at Raptor Archery and Ted let me shoot the Signiture bow with stippled grip, what a super nice, smooth and quiet bow.  You guys out in this neck of the woods need to get by and check this bow out.  You will be impressed!

So the sneak peek is almost ready to go.  Stopped in at Raptor Archery last saterday to see my soon to be "New" bow.  WoW what a piece of art.  Ted worked with me to fit the handle to my hand, I can almost see it now the arrow slipping off the string and heading straight for that huge Tom turkey.  month and a half to go thanks Ted.

Wow! That bow profile looks outstanding-what is the delivery time for a 50# 64" bow with leather grip?

Those look sweet Ted. Love the horn accent on the handle.

Well, I screwed up and shot one of Ted's Raptor Signature bows and all I can say is WOW!  Not only was it smoother and faster than an equal weight green stripe Bear TD, but it drew as though it were 5#'s lighter causing me to double check the draw weights of both bows.

I am very impressed and hoping to find a way to add one to my lineup very soon, great bow!

Hobbow

You didn't screw up I believe you were forced to take it out and shoot it...;-)

As for me mine is ready to pick up this weekend and boy it is just in time.  Turkey Blood will soon be spilled.

Thanks Ted for making this such a high quality bow.

Second Season , I suppose that you are going to need me to write Turkey all over one of your arrows now right?
Title: Re: Raptor Archery - Sneak Peak
Post by: Hobow on March 19, 2012, 08:47:00 PM
After seeing your bow SS, I cracked under the pressure and had to shoot one!  I was reluctant because I was happy with my bows up to that point!

Ted, please write Turkey all over it because I want to see if it works a third time!  If it does, then I'll need to order Deer, Elk and Turkey arrows to replace the Earth, Wind and Fire arrows that I am currently shooting...
