New to traditional archery& tradgang, any help would be appreciated.
Martin Hatfield T/D 62" 55#@ 28" & Bear Kodiak Hunter 60" 60#@ 28" both are after the 70's, w/ reinforced tips.
Recommendations of string type, # of strands that won't hurt the bows. More concerned w/ quiet than speed. Was told D-97 would be fine but so many to chose from. Also where to order one from.

I like D-97 too, 14 strands with .024 Halo serving is a perfect fit for my GT and CE nocks after a break in of 50-100 shots. Plenty strong enough for your higher poundage bows too. Josh Sowerby is listed in the Sponsors clasifieds section under his handle Oliverstacey. He builds all my strings and they are second to none, super guy to deal with. BTW, he lives in Michigan too!
I like Dynaflight '97 and Formula 8125 for bows built to handle them. Depending on your preferances, 10-14 strands in the string with 18 in the loops (if flemish).
Generally string material won't make nearly as much difference with noise as tuning, release, nock fit, and arrow weight.
Tune with the brace height and silencer placement. More silencer material doesn't mean better--moving the silencer up or down the string an inch or less at a time can make a big difference.
A clean release is a quieter release.
A tight nock will make more noise than a light snap.
Heavier arrows are quieter. Also, arrows that are not the correct spine may slap the riser and add noise. A little tuning can go a long way.
