I'm interested in trying "Manly" Pink next year. Please post pics of your arrows, as I need some ideas.
Thanks.
I'm sure Allen will be along shortly!
He was most likely up late last night spinning a few strings for someone!
Well,.......okay, if you insist! Remember, you asked for it!

I'm slowly working on some pink fletched arrows for my girlfriend. Guess I should speed it up since they are a Christmas gift. They are black Carbon Express Predator II. Purple crown dip (actually sprayed), pink feathers with pink, purple, and silver crest. I'll try to get some pics when I get one finished. I hope they turn out like I see them in my mind.
I like the pink string.
Check out any pictures of Fred Eichler with his trad bows. He uses pink fletching. :coffee:

I use Krylon for my crown paint. The Krylon Fusion in white stick to carbons great, and makes a good base coat for the pink (or whatever color) to show up good.
I love pink fletching. Currently, I've got 2 pink and 1 white barred. Looks cool!
pure pink 4 fletch:

Got my wraps from "Onestringer". He's a sponsor here. They're the best I've ever used, by far.

i love pink!
Snag are you looking? I ordered a dozen for my daughter, from David(wilderness arrows), and he wasn't sure for grown up...
Here's a few of mine. I have gone to Chartreuse/Flo Yellow lately though as they almost glow in low light.

before i went back to my regular colors.
I just finished these for a friend. He can't stand pink but they are for his new wife and she likes it. I scanned a design from their wedding invitation and put it in the cresting.
Nocks are horn-reinforced self nocks and the feathers are thread wrapped for shooting off the hand.

Hey "LadyKiller" where are you?
Here's some I made a while back. These are 1916's but I've used the same cap and crest on some Gold Tips as well. Woodies are next!

Pink is my second favorite fletch next to natural turkey. I'm not scared to admit it is my favorite color.
Thanks for all the pics and "Pink" comments. I really want to try them and hope to have some before long.
I hate pink!..made these for a friend that does.

That's what I say...if I hunted with anyone that used pink arrows I'd make them walk 20 yards behind me so I could claim I don't know them.

Check out my new custom wraps. I think I'll go with one pink barred cock feather and two solid pink hen feathers (5" hi-back shield cuts). What do you think?
BTW...Pink is the new "Man" color. I'm secure enough in my masculinity to shoot pink. :biglaugh:
Nothing wrong with PINK. I have and wear PINK hats, shirts and shorts...
It takes a real man to wear PINK and to use that color on bows and arrows..
GO TEAM PINK
NOPE.......No pink folks, I just won't do it! I get picked on enough as it is, why encourage anyone!

Here are some pink feathers with a purple crown that I made up for my girlfriend. She'll be getting these with her new longbow for Christmas.

Come on Tim; Pink will make a bigger Man of ya. :D I get picked on all the time too but the older I get the thicker my skin gets. Not too many people want to hurt an old man like me.
Mike What size feathers are those and where did you get them? Those are exactly what I am looking for.
thanks.
Low light conditions...use a pink crown dip or wrap with Chartruese feathers. Around here, Surveyors use nothing but Pink or Lime Green tape. You can't miss them swaying in the wind.
I will say, under low light conditions, like spring bear hunting in Canada....I prefer a Chartruese crown dip with either all white feathers or all Chart feathers. Those last few moments of light, it's important to see that arrow hit.
Before I switched over to Pink, my arrows were crown dipped or full length dipped in a light Sky Blue with all white or Chart feathers. I've never seen Blue, Pink or Chart colored trees.
Howdy D. Key,
Those are Trueflight Pink and Pink Barred. They were full length feathers that I cut down to 4" and burned to a shield shape. I like the way they turned out.
3Rivers sells the solid Pink in 4" shield, but not the barred. You could call them. I'm sure somebody has them out there on the web. Good luck.
I like to Cedar pink on my arrows. The glow helps me Cedar trail in the dark.

You have the best looking arrows bar none. Crazy talent. And patience. Love your work and I've been admiring them for some time. Keep it up.
Try some white nocks on your girlfriend's arrows. They would go well with the color combination. And they provide good visibility.

Anybody know why you dont see to many pink nocks?? :campfire:
Must have something to do with the color because I have never seen a pink nock stay on. Every one I had came off...once at full draw.

If I were taller I might try em.

Scientifically it has been determinged that deer see pink least well along the white to black color spectrum they live in.
