I wanted to give you folks an update, gotta keep the gang in the loop. It has taken one heck of a push to get these heads back in production but we FINALY have 2000 heads ready for heat treat. :jumper: What a relief!
There is still a lot of work to be done before you all can get them bloody but it is one more giant step in that direction. I expect to have them available around the end of Jan. I will have some at Kalamazoo.
Improvements to the latest generation of the Grizzly broadhead
Improved farrell alignment
Precision ground 25 deg. bevel
Tanto tip will be sharp on both sides of the broad head
More consistant hardness
Left or right wing bevel
We will be starting another run of Grizzly broadheads in 2 weeks. That way there will be NO laps in broadhead availablility!
Bill
That is good news.
Will it take as much work to get them sharp as the old one? I mean to get the bevel down to where you can put a razor edge on them.
Do you think you will offer a option of a ready to go razor sharp from the factory? Thanks for keeping the Grizzly alive. Ken Denton
Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus!
The bevel will go all the way to the edge of the head and the back side of the tip will be ground so that it is a point and not an edge.
We will be offering a ready to hunt razor sharp Grizzly. I am not sure if any of this run will get that option.I do not want to delay these heads any longer.
Looking forward to continued Zipper Bows quality and innovation on these broadheads Bill! I'm in for a dozen when I see you at KaZoo. Don't forget, as part of my ProStaff duties, I offer proof reading for press releases :D
Awesome! Save me a pack or two and we will see you at Kazoo :bigsmyl:
That's good news. I hate to see a great broadhead go the way of the dinosaurs.
Great news Bill.
Thank you and keep us informed.
Keeping the masses properly updated and informed will be most beneficial and maintain the focus of the current fan base. Direct and expedient communications will serve to eliminate unnecessary damage control.
Great job Bill and thanks for the update.

I'm looking forward to these.
I have started reading the Ashby report in detail and want to give these heads a try and see that the single bevel fuss is all about....
Good work Bill
How wide is the widest Grizzly? I've been shooting some wide heads the last couple of years and I have been impressed with the results. Peace!
Thank you thank you thank you
i want some
QuoteImproved farrell alignment
What does that mean? Like they weren't before? Or now the ferrule will extend closer to the tip?

Yeah..! I've shot Grizzles in the past and they are no doubt one of the best heads out there but I'd like to see one 1 1/4" wide by 3" long and the ferrule made all the way to the tip.Any hopes on getting that done?
Either way Kudos to you on keeping them alive!

On the previous generation Grizzly one side of the blade did not extend all the way to the other. This made it very easy to get the farrell misaligned. Now that the blades extend evenly on both sides it is so much easier to keep the farrell aligned. The farrel does not extend any farther down the head than it did before.

The largest Grizzly is 1 1/4" wide x 3 1/8".The size will not change.
Either way Kudos to you on keeping them alive! [/b]
It should be made perfectly clear that not all these improvements were my doing.Shawn is the one who had the dies reworked so that the Grizzly could be either left or right bevel. This improvement also allows for the improved farrell alignment.
We are trying to get Grizzly broadheads to any and all dealers that are interested in carying them.If you have a favorite dealer and want to see Grizzly heads on their shelves. Let them know.
Bill
