So what's on your Christmas list ? Your friends and family might be looking for some ideas !
I think mine would be Saxton Pope's Shooting the bow and arrow. One of the few books Ive never read. So whats yours ?
Already made my list...
skinny string
limbsations in fall brown predator
puff silencers
arrow wraps (trad 14)
quiver replacement foam
My trad gift wish is a custom back quiver for my 31" long arrows.
I may have to be patient & eventually make on myself though.
I think my trad gift would be a German Ridge hunting bag w/ 4 arrow quiver. :archer2:
Not strictly Trad, but that's how I'd use em if I get em.
I need a replacement for the Petzl headlamp that I broke this fall. One of the handset items I owned.
What I'd love to have is a smoker. Not sure if I've been good enough to have Santa bring one of those though.
I am hoping to get my health back to the point that I can hunt and do other outdoor activities like I use to be able to do. Seems as though all other material things right now are immaterial if that makes sense.
Already got my Christmas wish, a new Dan Toelke Tadpole for my 11 year old daughter. 2 weeks, 3 more days! Woo-Hoo!
KME sharpener and a 12" bastard file.
I put a PCHX on my list also, but when I did that, the Mrs. added a Mercedes to her list.
I already received a Dan Toelke Super D and it is sweet. Dan is a fine gentleman.
Whip, if we lived closer we'd get together and build you one. Stringstretcher, all the best of luck to you my friend !
No need for any more things. I just need someone to sponsor me so I can take next Sept. through Dec. off!
I'd go for more time in the woods
Got two things on the way. A 15" sky TDX riser from a tradganger, and set of Das limbs coming from across the pond.
The only thing I want for "Christmas" is A JOB
I've fared really well, so no complaints here what so ever. My wife spoiled me rotten this year and I tried to return the favor.
Bama Bows Hunter longbow (45# @ 28")
doz. woodies made by Mangus
Rinehart 3D buck target
camo winter coat
camo winter trousers
insulated rubber boots
And I got her a Maddog midsize longbow, half doz woodies by Mangus, tab and arm guard.
So, like I said, I've had a winner of a Christmas. :bigsmyl:
Santa is bring'n a Waldrop Pac-Seat,,,,,,should be here any day now......... It will look good under the tree, in fact it will look under or against any tree...... :biglaugh:
G. Fred wool
3rivers gift card would be fine with me.
A dozen Axis 400 shafts a 3 pack of 250gr Woodsman Elites.
Got my list made up
Twig Archery Gift certificate
Copy of Essential Encounters
Copy of A Sand County Almanac
Copy of Buckskin and bone
Copy of Once upon a tine
Hopefully I've been real good.
A skinny string and a 12" bastard file. Some time off to put one more in the freezer.
Rob
Bison Gear Pack I know my wife wont get it for me. Mom if you read this please!!! Oh yeah I need a better slepping bag I want a Big Agnes Storm King with the air pad. A Titanium packable wood stove for my spike tent. A water filtration pump. and last but not least the whole month of September off to chase Elk. Thats it I dont think its to much to ask for.
A Great Northern Quiver and small arrow holder for it.
I know my daughter already bought it for me, but I have to wait for Christmas to get it.
how to build a great bowstring
and several other items @ the k-zoo expo in january
If I could just find everything I lost in the woods this year I wouldn't need anything for Christmas.
I ordered my self a Black Creek Siren T/D 55#@28
I also got a couple books ive been wanting, and some camo cling wrap to wrap my shotgun, and a pair of slippers.lol
Canvas pyrmid range tent for weekend hunts & camping.
I'd like what StringStretcher is ordering!
But I'm beginning to realize that I might never have it again like I used to. So I'm willing to take what I can get and I gotta say that hunting a little in more accessible places is better than sitting on the couch.
I may never take another deer but getting out in the fresh air and taking shots at squirrels or stumps is good medicine. Thats what I want for Christmas.
A 20" bear on my spring Alberta hunt.
I have a man cave and a garage full of gear. Im sure theres something I could put to use, but for Christmas, this is what I would like-
I would like for our fighting men and women to return home safely, and thier efforts to not be in vain.
I would like to never hear the word Cancer again.
I would like for my children to have a country with all the opportunity their ancestors had.
And I would like just one more moment with my Dad.
But Christmas is not about what we want. Its about celebrating the birth of Christ. In doing so, I can be perfectly happy being thankful for the blessings He's bestowed on me, and my family.
AMEN John...great list.
ProArcher, I pray that you get your wish (a Job). A job and a Man are sooo connected...keep your chin up, I know it is hard esp. with the Holidays. Anybody out there that can help this guy???
