Ok I am ordering a mohawk longbow soon. Got the OK form the wife. I know what limb wood I'm going with. Boo cores with dirty boo veneers. I'm not sure on the riser wood. What I want and the wood I like the most is Osage but I don't know if that will look good with boo. I could throw a coco accent strip in the osage. What do you think.
I say go for it. Osage and boo ..... thats the "peanut and jelly" of the trad bow world.
Remember that Osage Orange is very yellow when first cut, but should mellow beautifully with age. It looks like a nice honey amber color after a few years. Look around here for osage pics. I think it will make a nice combo. Bloodwood would be a cool accent.
Hopefully you can see this, the long bow has Osage limbs.

Get what you want. Life is to short to do different. Mohawks are top of the line.RC
Hmmmm Dirty Boo with a cocoabolla riser and a Osage accent strip in the middle. Where's Eric when you need him!!?? I think he has one like that.
Thanks for the input. Yep I think i'm going with what I like. Should be Boo limbs and osage riser.
Can't wait to see it.
Sounds like a good wood combo for a great bow. Make sure to post pics when it arrives.
