Turning the big "4-0" in a year and I told the wife, "No party." I just want to get an heirloom quality bow that one day would be passed on to my son. I can't bring myself away from the longbows and have narrowed my search down to a dwyer dauntless, centaur, MOAB, and the Morrison Dakota. Owning several Dwyers I know the quality I'd be getting, and the reputations of the bows I mentioned speak for themselves. That said, for the guys who know, which would you pick and why? I'm leaning towards the Dakota based upon looks and... well... it's a Morrison! Any thoughts or input are appreciated, and as a side note, I'm planning on going to KZoo this winter to test as many as I can. Thanks.
owned a bunch of dakota's, great bows but I prefer the centaur better.the triple carbon has less handshock and is a little faster. nothing wrong with Moabs either, never shot a dwyer. personely I'd go with the centaur first, dakota second. but that's just me.
I think that Bob has his Dakota's for $400 off right now.

I love my Dakota's. They are VERY fast and smooth. I have shot many bows and sold everything but my old Bears and now have two beautiful Dakota's. Here is my newest one the day before Halloween doing what it does best!

Here's the other one at work. Can't comment on the Centaur as Larry won't let me shoot his.

Other than the 2 Widows I have, of all the other bows I've shot the Dakota stands out the most in my mind and I hope to own another one day. Stellar longbows.
Bob does a great job and has some new limbs that are a bit more stable. He will be at K-Zoo this year.
Bob I'm glad you are putting that Dakota I sold you to good use. Nice looking buck to Bob.
Thanks for the comments, and NICE bucks!
