Title: Shakespeare Wonder Bow, Brace Height
Post by: LONGSTYKES on December 06, 2011, 07:53:00 AM
I received a nice surprise the other day. My buddy gave me a Shakespeare Wonder Bow Model X-20 ( The Manitou ) 58" 50# @ 28". She is a laminated glass bow, non fast flight.

He had picked her up at a yard sale, looks to be in pretty good shape. No twists in the limbs or other damage. Just general nice in the finish and dirty. Cleaned her up and waxed her.

She had no string. So my guess is that I need a 55" string with a brace height of  7" too 8' . Any educated suggestions to help me out???

Thanks Guys. Don

a recurve string is 4" shorter then the length.... you need a 54" string.

i have that exact bow. same length and lbs.  i found the "sweet spot" to be 8.5".... i know that seems high but i would give it a try.
