It was such a pretty evening I decided I needed to spend it in the woods. Fortunately, nobody disagreed!
I parked the truck about a mile from where I was going to sit. After a nice stroll I found my tree and settled in. Just a bit before pitch dark this little boar came slipping though. When he passed my tree I slipped an arrow into his flank and up into his heart / lung area.. He didn't make it far.
This Sparrowhawk is indeed a "mojo" bow.. It is plain hard on pigs !

Congrats!
One fine pig......congrats again!
Nice one! Not so little either...Really cool coloration on it too.
I can't wait to make some bacon this winter with my new (to me) sparrowhawk!
Inquiring minds want to know:
How the dickens do you get a hog that size in the TRUCK???
By the pic, I might blow a gasket just trying to lift the head were it removed! GAWD!
Sizzle sizzle, I can smell the bacon!!
Doc, it's not too bad. I like to hunt on foot for the most part but almost always have my 4 wheeler close by.. In these woods I can generally maneuver it to the animal.. The Igloo is on back and a few minutes of knife work renders the carcass into small easily hoisted pieces..
Gotta love this time of the year!
seriously, that's a small one?
Nice. Awesome little hog. Congrats
Congratulations on a nice pig!
Mr. Byrne, I see you are in Tx. What part? I live just north of Austin and am always up for meeting any of the gangers I can.
See ya later,
