I am going to get one of these for my son. The tip to tip is 48" and Im think 30 @ 24. My question is what would the draw weight be at say 20"(he's not around to measure lol)draw? What would be the best arrow for that draw weight?

Around 20-22# @ 20". I'd use some 1/4" woods cut to 24" for now. With actual 1/4 field points, not the drawn steel sort. When the bow can be draw to 24" switch to 5/16 wood arrows cut to 26". 3 Rivers makes some decent wood arrows and I also saw a sponsor here Handle is Green and the company is kidsticks that has some youth arrows.
Snag(David)@ wilderness arrow, made me a dozen for my daughter, to go with a pup, I got the arrows, waithing on the bow and xmas get her going!!
Check the sponsors classifieds. Kid stix has some great sets.
Guys be careful with those sharp arrows and pup longbows, they kill rabbits and they will shoot farther than you may think. My grandson showed without any warning how far he could shoot arrows. Luckily my neighbors roof stopped the arrow and not his car.
