There have been a few set backs. First when I recieved the dies I found they built 3 the same size all large. Then I went to build the large tabs and found the dies for the snaps had doubles so I could not set snaps. Unbeleavable! So they are going to overnight the dies for the snaps on Monday so I should be able to fill all large orders. The dies for the medium and extra large should be shipped after the first of the year. Had no idea it could get so complicated. Thanks Scott.  


I just thought I would do a seperate post for the ring tabs. The first run will be as follows split finger single ply left or right hand. the sizes will be medium, large and extra large. They will come with 3 sizes of O rings that can be changed out with a snap. If you have to you can trim tab to your liking. These tabs are extremly comfortable for the O ring takes up no space between yor fingers. The tab can easily be flipped to the back side of your hand when not in use. I put a little clip on my armguard and that is where she lives when not in use. Just clip to the O ring. This tab is great for cold weather because you can get a O ring big enough to slide over a wool glove or glomit. These are rubber O rings you can get at the hardware store if you break one or need a very large or smaller one. They will retail for $15.00. But through December I will offer them for $13.00 to Trad Gang members. The dies well be ready next week and as soon as I get them I will fill orders. Three Rivers will be carrying these tabs. The color shown is in burgandy or brown which will be the primary color. There is only one company in the states that makes shell cordavan. It takes a long time to get it and it is exspensive. If I run out of brown shell cordavan I will resort to black shell cordavan from the same company. Right know I have brown and if that changes I will let you know. There is not going to be color choices black is just an opption if I run out of brown. These tabs are wonderfull to use and are a great hunting tab.


$13.00 through December avalible in Right or Left. SPILT FINGER ONLY SINGLE PLY at this time. Medium, Large, Extra Large. Comes with 3 O rings for the right fit. So here are the measurments for the tabs.  Medium 2 7/8" wide X 2 1/16" long, Large 3" wide X 2 5/16" Long, And XLrge is 3 7/16" wide X 2 9/16 long. You can see in the photo how the tab lays. To find length I would measure your middle finger from tip to second joint down from tip. For width measure your three fingers across. You can trim these.

In my opinion this is the best style tab bar none.Especially in cold weather because you can easily change rubber "O" Ring to larger size to fit over glove and the Cordovon wears like Iron !!

Thanks guys I am getting it all down to hold them aside when I start building. These tabs are slick I most thank Bob Burton of Whispering Wind Arrows in Montana. We met at Bowhunters of Wyoming banquete and I was showing him my gear. I was just getting the idea of building gear for the traditional bowhunter. He showed me his tab and asked if I could build him one like it. I never seen one before but I guess Neet made them into the 70s and then dropped them. I ran home and tried his and really liked it so I built 2 one for me and for him. He was very particular that I did get his back. When I handed him his new one his eyes lit up. He said what do I owe you I said nothing as long as you dont mind me making more he said go a head. So now we have a classic back again. Thanks again for supporting me Scott.

How do you guess which size to use?

I an archery glove I usually try to buy at a show show I can try them on.  Usually the biggest Medium or tightest Large fills the bill for me.  Is there a measurement of you hand that predicts which tab to get?   Thanks,

Gloves are quite a bit  diffrent than a tab. With a glove you are wraping the leather around your finger and there are more variables to consider. Rod Jekins somes up a glove perfectly he said you are either braking it in or its used up. Not so with a tab they generally shoot well from the start and last a long time. Shell Cordavan is the best leather for  tabs it is slick and wears like iron. With my tabs it comes with 3 rings so youre sure to have one that fits around your finger. The only other factor is the length and width. Another thing with tabs that you can not do with gloves is trim them to a custom fit for you. Judging from what you said above I would say get the medium. If you get the large you should be able to trim it if it is to long. Generally when they are to long they seem to slap you a little. I hope this helps.

I just wanted to answer Mudds question. This is a running list at the moment to get a number so I could fill orders. Dies where supposed to be in my hands Thursday. I should have known better they say Tuesday or Wendsday now. As son as I have the orders built I will post and let every one know. You can pay at that time check or pay pal. I just wanted to get a feel for how many I would have to build. I cant believe the response thanks for all the intrest as soon as they are done I will let you know.

Scott - Both mediums arrived today.  Excellent tab!  I have been shooting Eichler's tabs for the past year as well as occasional use of two Bateman's, a Cavalier Elite cordovan, a Black widow, and a Soma.  Of all the cordovan's I've got this is the slickest, most generous string/finger surface, and offers the best fitting options with the different rubber rings.  Great work and like BowhunterGA above, I'll be ordering some backups soon.     :clapper:   Rob

For u guys who have received yours how are the size comparsion matching up? Is a large on targetin otherwords? My width is 2" 5/8" and length 2" 1/4" what size tab would I need?

The medium tabs I got from Scott are just a hair more generous in the width than some other tabs I own and I really appreciate that.  They are easy to trim if need be, but mine needs no trimming.
