Headed down to Estill S.C. after christmas to do some hog hunting do we need to wear snake chaps at that time of year? Dont like snakes
The last two times we where down thier it was july, sept Man it was hot!!!!!!!!!!Cant wait to hunt without melting.
i would say no but the weather in sc can change on a dime. if it warms up for a few days you might want to bring em.
2 weeks ago we had a warm spell and boy got bit by a rattler in charleston. that kid is still in the hospitle because the antivenom has takin yet.
i run around the swamps a lot and never have owned any snake chaps or boots... My grandpapa always said "the second fella is the one who get bit."
Then i will bring them. What do you consider warming up 60s 70s.
I've seen rattlers out in 40 deg weather down here in Ga during Feb.
A sunny 50 degree day will have them laying out in the sun. More so around rocky areas.Just watch where you put your feet and hands and you will be ok. RC
Thanks we will keep our eyes out.Definitely don't want the kids getting bit.
Most places around Estill have no snakes. the hogs ate them all. LOL. I may be in that area around that time myself. Ifin you are in Michael's camp, tell him to let me know and if I'm there we can do dinner one night. Good luck. Don
Yes we will be in Michaels camp 29-1 i will pm my cell phone number.
