My corporate owners have figured out that if they get everybody to take a week off without pay the bigshots can keep getting their fat bonuses so it is becoming an annual thing. The week off is ok but the "without pay" thing really rubs. However, I am thinking (dreaming, more likely) of a hunt sometime January through March. What? Javelina? You guys are full of ... ideas. Share some.
I did a javelina hunt in Texas a couple of years ago, and they are way fun to bowhunt, plus the weather is probably a lot warmer than Montana that time of year.
Not sure what your budget is but you might want to PM Ray Hammond. He does hog hunts out of SC failry cheap and he is a sponsor here too. Check this thread out, I am heading there early February.

I have done a few hunts for hogs during March that worked out very well. Weather was cool and vegetation had not yet exploded so visibility was good. I strongly recommend the folks at Shiloh Ranch in Oklahoma. They will insure a great hunt at a great price.
