I've never been on a hunt like this before and I am gettin' pretty psyched for it! My deer season has been less than spectacular, so I am ready for something a little different.
I am going on this hunt through the generosity of Rayzor as I won this hunt that he and VPA are sponsoring. The hunt runs from Dec.16-18 and I am driving out to Tulsa on the 15th to visit with my brother, then onto Shiloh on the morning of the 16th.
Whenever I'm not in the woods and it is light enough to see I have been shooting my old boar target......had to get a can of spray foam to get it back to a shootable condition. When I log on here, I stop off on the hog anatomy/shot placement thread at the top of the page on powwow.
The MOAB has new string shot in and the VPA Terminator 250 grainers are razor sharp. With any luck I will dull a couple up on a deer and a turkey next weekend! If any of you have hunted Shiloh before and have any experiences you'd like to share I am more that willing to listen.

I've been there and it was a good time for sure. I ended up with a 125# sow the first night from a stand and then I tried stalking them after that to get another. My buddy connected while stalking but I didnt get a shot, not that there werent hogs but I everytime I was sneaking up on one feeding I didnt see the other ten bedded around it! I will go back again someday.
Its a fun hunt with great hosts, good luck on your hunt!
I'll be going there in April
Almost forgot I posted this......old age!
When I worked in Tulsa I did do a little hog hunting on some private ground, but was never able to spend the time there to really get a feel for the property. Lots of sign and and spotted a few, but the land was being cleared for agricultural purposes and had a tough time getting the wind as the hogs were congregated on the east side of the property from what the sign showed.
I hope to have some pics to post and an adventure to share when I get back. In the meantime I've got turkey and deer to chase for a couple of weeks!

Mike, if you can swing it you should stop by my place in Ada. I am only around 30-40 minutes from the ranch. I got a target set up out back with lights if need be.
Plus a few lh bows you could try out.
Matt and Cheryl are great hosts and are trad archers. You will have a blast.
Mike,
You're going to love it there. Sent you a PM.
My dad and I took a trip out there a few years ago. We had a wonderful time. It's loaded with hogs, if your looking for a big one you will have to be very patient. It gets real tempting to shoot a smaller one. I would suggest taking plenty of extra cash as it's also hard to pass up a shot at some of the sheep they have walking around!
Thanks for the info and the pm's fellars! I am getting more and more anxious about this hunt. Mike
Pick a spot Mike...

Will do Al! Good to see you on here again...........when you comin' back across the big pond to visit us?
Matt and cheryl are very nice people. As for the hunting you will see alot of hogs it is very tempting to shoot the first one u see, but if your looking to shoot a "hog" then its best to hold out they have some big ones in there.
That time of year is a blast to stalk you can see a long way and enjoy the stalk.
Good luck and post pics.
Scott.
