Thinking of getting a new bow quiver and want one I can take on and off as desired. The strap on systems all look similar but would like some opinions and input please.
great northern imo. adjustable length, fits most any bow, looks good and solid
Eagles Flight
Eagles flight for sure, the rounded gripper spaces all arrows evenly.
Big Jim's.
ThunderHorn Small-Fry for me. Been using them for over 7 years and they have been problem free. Have had the Eagles Flight and can't say one bad thing about them. Lot's of good strap-ons out there and you'll get to hear lots of opinions as to which one is best. I say get which one catches your eye and I'd bet you'll be happy. If not, swap it on the classifieds and keep doing so until you find that magic one.
ThunderHorn small fry is it for me. I've tried just about all of them and keep coming back to it. Actually I've gotten rid of all but the small fry.
Well, if you insist. I'm a major Kanati fan myself.
EFA
The new Selway strap on looks great!
Here is a good thread where people were explaining the pros and cons of the Kanati and EFA bow quivers.

There seems to be a crowd of people supporting each brand, and both are trad gang sponsors and good people to deal with.
Thunderhorn Boa here
Love my EFAs
EFA for me!
I've tried a few others, but I'm still carrying a Great Northern.
EFA is the greatest thing since sliced venison just as long as you buy a quiver with the totem. I have a devil of a time keeping the two pice quivers in place....especially on my Mohawk.
Eagle's Flight.
Great Northern strap on version. Tried the rest. Stuck with this one.
Eagles Flight for me.
The new Selway. Can be used on recurve or longbow. Solid on both.
Big Jim. Very nice, holds well, and makes your 100% quieter. TRW
GN strap on adjustable
I've got an older Sellway with a rubber strap that i really like, but i can't find another one with that same rubber strap with the little nubs. I don't care for the Velcro straps at all. What are the new sellways straps made out of? anyone know?
They are rubber straps with the little nubs. Go to their website and watch the video of Gordy taking you thru it. :wavey:
My favorite is my Thunderhorn BOA!
i have only had 3 so far
old kwicky quiver bad setup but works i guess.
a selway softcoat slip on to heavy for me
a big jim strap on 5 arrow gripper and a medium hood very nice
now i only have 1 a big jim lightweight stays put and cost is ok also
i vote big jims
but i have not tried other yet
I've been using Eagles Flight for years but recently got a Kanati slim Jim and have fallen in love
The attachment system is the most solid of any I've tried
Great Northern for me,hands down
Without a doubt, Great Northern. Like the weight, how they balance out a bow and they have a simple classic look.
After a bit of research I settled on the Big Jim and haven't been disapointed. Although I haven't used any others I've checked out and handled quite a few and the quality of the Big Jim compared to others is on the same level or superior. I've been impressed with the quality and simplicity so far. I love the fact that I can quickly and easily attach/detach the quiver once at my stand.

I have used Great Northern for years, a few weeks ago I purchased a Kanati strap on and I love it. Nothing wrong with the Great Northern's but I like to take my quiver off and on after each hunt and the Kanati comes off ALOT easier and quicker. If I was going to leave the quiver on for an extended amount of time, then it would just be a toss up cause they are both great.
I am a Kanati Pro Angle fan now!
Great Northern Longbow
Shoot straight, Shinken
:archer2:
Big Jim's. Easy on and off and light. Stays where u put it.
I like my EFA. Never was a big fan of bow quivers before. Bought it specifically for sheepa dn goat hunts, nice and light, well balanced, super easy on and off.
I have very pleased with the ThunderHorn small fry, but would love to try a Kanatie.
QuoteI have very pleased with the ThunderHorn small fry
Same here but all of mine have been side mounts not strap on's
I like my Kanati strap on,
I've tried them all and have 2 or 3 of each.Big Jims is the most versatile.with his strapping system you can have the Quiver as far up on the fade-outs as you want, rock solid and light as a feather. The quiver will not move.Probably the cheapest of all.
big jims!
EFA for me. Ken
Thunder Horn
Great Northern strap on.....Easy on/off and very solid on limbs and quiver hood and gripper is solid.
Had a thunderhorn strap on...They will customize yours to your leather liking. Cost comparable to GN quiver. Solid on limbs but slight hood movement when down to a couple arrows.
Also had a Big Jim....cheapest $$. Decent construction, straps tight on limbs but the hood and gripper is really unstable. Lot of flex between the connection point of the hood and strap and gripper and straps.
But the Great Northern is the most solid of the above I mentioned. Also like the placement of the quiver cause it sets back from the center of the limbs. Wish I'd of started out with the Great Northern in the first place.

I second the Kanati!
I've used a German Ridge for the past 10 years. It's not a strap on but I like it better. It's a spring model that is similar to the old Bear spring quivers. Super easy to add and remove. Dick
