Check this out, he is amazing.
Very Cool!
Takes me 3X longer than that to bone out one leg!
holy cow that dude is fast.wish i could do that.
i wonder how many deer that guy has butchered to be able to do that. it takes me an hour to get them skinned and boned out. It took him a total of 11 in his video. I cant even get the meat bundles broken down in my hour and he managed to do that too. Unreal
just . . wow !
ChuckC
I think he's had alot of practice
I could do that too if I had one of those fancy hook things. :biglaugh:
:scared: Wow remarkable!
If I had one of those fancy hook things, I would stab AND cut myself repeatedly...
Well I am crying now, I will not tell you how long it took me to do that.
Kinda creepy :biglaugh:
Thats stupid fast!
Jason
Holy ****! That is impressive.
There are a lot of lessons to be learned there.

LMAO...I would suggest NOT getting one of those fancy hook thingys....
He's done and I still haven't got the tenderloins out...
All I can say is WOW!!

yep..take yer deer to the nearest meat processing house...they got lts of practice. LOL!
I used to but..i dont have a problem getting them from the gambrel to the cooler in an hour or so..bagged..packed with ice and all but..
dang...do i hate peel'in silver-skin but..it's gotta go!
Unbelievable!!!!!!!!
Dang, it takes me ten times that long and I do half as nice a job. I thought I got most of the meat off a deer, but this guy puts me to shame. That is one heck of a knife. I agree with others, I'd have one of those hook things ran through hand or wrist before I knew it. Being real familiar with the anatomy of the deer is a big help too.
Wow!
Holy Smokes!
WOW!!!
I would say judging by the number of meat hooks hanging behind him, that ain't his first rodeo. That was a sweet job. There was a place down in Ehrhardt S.C. that used to process cows and hogs if you wanted and they were nearly that fast. I saw them put a cow down with a .22 and they skinned it so fast the hide was still twitching when it hit the floor.
I bet he has done that more than once!
I can't quarter mine as fast as he boned that one out!
Bisch
did you see his video on skinning...did that in 2 minutes.
That guys pretty quick It took me 75 minutes to bone out my elk this year in the field. It always cracks me up how guys do that on a table. I never shoot anything close to the truck. Packed two elk this year one 3miles and one 4. we debone in the field
Wonder if he uses a file sharpened knife or he hones it. LOL
He is very adept with his knife but the draw strokes toward his abdomen and groin and thigh are best avoided by most of us.
I guess time is money in that butcher shop lol
Wow, looks like he is painting or something...
I agree some of those draw strokes look slightly dangerous!
who da man
he is
:clapper:
Every profession has it's superstars. He's one of them, got it down to a science. Lessons can be learned, though. Happy to hear the comments about how long it takes others. I'm mega slow, but one or two a year makes for a refresher course each time. Still plan on doing it though, feels good to see the thing all the way through.
The man is great and does all the right moves with a very sharp knife. Thanks I learned something, I need more practice.
Man...that guy is good! I still like doing my own too. It's feels good even if it takes you awhile! Thanks for the tips as I learned something too!
Kenny :bigsmyl:
That is impressive. I need to find a hook like that that folds down for use in the field.
Will be studing this video for use on elk and moose in the future.
Mike
That was cool!
That's amazing...I need start using a fillet knife like that.
I was surprised at how he took everything around the backstraps off the ribcage, and then took the straps out. Anyone else do it like that? I usually just extract just the backstraps themselves, and leave the other stuff on there.

Good one!
Seriously though, I was reading the comments below the video and he said he uses a smooth steel to sharpen.
I was amazed at how sharp the knife was and how it stayed that way throughout the process.
I would like to be just one tenth that good!
I couldn't get a good look at the hook due to my antiquated puter, but from what I did see, it looks very much like an ice skating hook, the one you would use for making your laces tighter, but it would have to be sharpened. I never saw one that would fold down but one could just put a cork on the sharp end when not in use.
It took me about 10 hours from hanging deer to cut, ground and fully packaged and in the freezer.
Looks like this guy could use me as a friend ;)
Amazing! I hope he's on piece rate rather than hourly pay :jumper:
That is amazing.
I watched it a couple times,I admire the speed in which he does it, although Im not usre about some of the cuts. I guess I'll assume he trims a lot of the them up afterwards. At least I would hope so.
I've never seen shoulders broken down in that fashion, that was interesting ,as well has how he rmoved the backstraps. I prefer to take a bit more time and trim as I go. I'd like to see some of his other videos he said hes going to do in the comments section.
very cool job
wow...........thats crazy.... I'm ever scared to watch him hold that knife......
For him it probably is not even worth getting dirty for one deer, he would need 10 or 20 at a time. :) That is FAST!!
Well I went & order me one of the fancy boning hooks. I don't have any expectations of ever being as fast as this guy but I do see it as a valuable tool. Not only for boning but skinning.
I've only got one thing to say about that guy's work.... :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:
Bad guys better not try and mug this fella while he has that blade handy!
He is amazing the way he handles that knife. I've watched this several times and showed it to everyone close to me that likes hunting.

Great video! I just sat there with my mouth open watching him the whole time.

Where did you order that boning hook bro? I GOTTA have me one of those. .... i don't know about the rest of you guys but i picked up a few moves I'm going to try on my next deer.... working the rib cage from the bottom up was slick!
i think that ol' boy has done that a few times. I'm happy with two hours ready for butcher paper.
My elk go to the butcher shop in one piece or quartered. i like the steaks and roasts cut with the bone in my elk meat.
It took longer for my computer to load that than it did for him to cut it.
My problem is that when ever I'm fortunate enough to go through the motions, it's either on the ground, in the dark, freezing, or all three.
Still not too fast. Got to apreciate a man who is good at what he does.
bigjim
That was neat to watch, I actually learned that I use to waste some meat when I would cut a deer up. That guy knows what he is doing!
The Forschner 40017 boning knife he was using can be had for $20-30 all over the internet. Even saw one one sale for $19. I figured he used some professional high end expensive knife. I might pick me up one of those, I'm sure the knife will improve my butchering skills 100%, just like every new bow I buy is going to make me a dead eye shot.

It was the cheapest on that big auction site $18.10 shipped. But if you search boning hook there are several places that sell them. It will also bring up womens lingerie if you are into that kind of thing :biglaugh: They sell one that is 5 1/2" & one that is 4". I went with the 4".
I can't get over the fact that he never had to sharpen that knife
Good grief, that was awesome.
He's my new hero.
What just happend.... :notworthy:
A certain big outdoors sporting goods company has the hooks for around $7, name starts with a C.
That is one heck of a lot of practice. It takes me about four times that long, and he gets a lot more meat off than I do...
Remarkable!!!!!
You suppose that knife was sharp?
WOW, SUPERSTAR. I'm a meat cutter with 36 years experience and I have never seen a person do what he did so expertly and fast. NICE JOB .

X2 and I might add: I always attempt this with 2 or 3 moderately sharp pocket knives and 2 or 3 moderately irritating children under-foot.
Cool video. That guy is at home with a knife! My dad was a butcher and I used to watch him work like that. It's in knowing where to make the cuts, how to hold the knife (that's both a safety issue and speed issue) and knife sharpness. My dad used to say "it's easy, you just follow the lines." Yeah, right. way easier said than done.
But that small boning hook. I've never seen that before. Cool. Gonna get one of those.
And Forschners....
Man I can only do that in 10 minutes, how'd he cut off 2 minutes? :jumper: Ok maybe takes me a few hours. I'd like to have him in my camp!
when is his instructional video coming out
