Have any of you thought about calling the Sweetwater Jaycees of Sweetwater, Texas and asking them what do they do with all of the rattlesnake skins they collect with their annual Rattlesnake Roundup held every March?
I imagine you can get lots of snakeskins pretty cheaply since this event collects hundreds of rattlesnakes every year.
If you've got lots of bows (and lots of people on here have more than two judging from the one topic I read) you could probably purchase as many skins as you like for your bow's limbs. I'm not sure what the Jaycess do with all of the snakeskins, but I bet they do sell them.
You can google this event and get the phone number.
Check out snakewood3. Charley get's good ones. He's gonna have some more ready real soon. You need to keep an eye on the " trad archery bow making supplies" forum. That's where they show up most of the time.
I got a pair in the classified here.
