I know for most, traditional archery is a life style. My question is how many wear the traditional archery clothing on a daily basis (wool pullover, fedora style hats, neck knives, etc)to the store or around town in general? Do you just use it for hunting/camping? I would like to see daily pictures of dress. Thanks!
The best I do is a trad gang hat and some stickers all over my truck.
As I'm sitting here alone in my cubicle at the office, I'm wearing jeans and a Woolrich red & black plaid shirt. Hanging up on the peg is my Filson gray & black plaid cape coat and crushable packer hat.
All that's missing is the woods, a bow & a quiver. :archer:
Mostly I work indoors and have to wear a tie, so it's a different world. But rather than give in entirely to the executroid lifestyle I wear a brown leather A-2 flight jacket and brown bowler or brown Borsalino hat to work.
Around the farm I certainly wear wool in the winter. My wife spins and we have sheep, so wool sweaters and socks especially are pretty much the norm.
I also have an Esse Izula neck knife on pretty much commonly.
Wore this to a wedding a few years ago (red wool sleeved westkit).
Please no pics wider than 640
Your wife spins wool and makes you socks! what a keeper does she have a sister :goldtooth:
I wear more wool when I am not hunting than when I am hunting
I have a Classic Bowman jacket I wear in cooler weather and a beaver felt fedora when it gets nasty out. When it's real nasty I have an old Barbour coat, the heavy one, left over from my retriever training days.
Most of the time I live in a L.L. Bean tan barncoat I inherited from my father and a Droptine Traditions ball cap.
I NEVER wear camo socially unless it's to an outdoor game dinner attended by hunters.
I work outside inspecting cross country transmission line. For work I always have wood under my work clothes. I would love to wear a wool jacket and pants, but with all the stickers we have in Iowa I don't do it.

I tend to dress in plaids and carry a belt knife etc on a daily basis. I cannot for work (office), but as soon as I am outta there the tie comes off and the loose stuff comes out.

Thanks for the replies. Were is the best place the get a fedora or traditional archery style head wear.THANKS
Do a search, check some of the sponsors - I've found that a brim over 2 inch messes me up shooting. You may be able to do other wise.
Had to laugh a little at Doug77 walking around with "wood" under his work clothes!
On a more serious note I wore a wool Pendleton plaid shirt today and always have my Filson Mac Cruiser in the work truck. All those pockets come in handy holding wirenuts and staples when I'm working on a new house with no heat.
The lady who owns the local store that I buy my Pendletons at gives me the evil-eye when I tell her I wear them to work.
I wear plaid wool shirts, jackets, and my Akubra fedora in public all the time.
Uh, I didnt know trad archers had a clothing line? Am I missing something?
Please tell me traditional archers out there are not falling into some fashion rule for Heaven's sake!
My kids do not want to be seen in public with me. Nuf said?
Yeah the "always have wood under my work clothes" caught me off guard too but then I figured it out.
The way I think about it is I don't want my hunting clothes smelling like all the human activity I'm around if possible.
I definitely do like to wear my wool, pendeltons, earth tones etc. Not too big on wearing camo around town though...
When it gets cold enough I wear my fleece and wool, but it hasn't been cold enough as yet.
Blue jeans or carpenter pants .Tee shirts or long sleave denum shirts. Hunting camo jeans or carpenter pants. camo tee shirt or long sleave camoe denum shirt.Hate wool. Mongals and indians did not wear plaid till they was conquerd.I love shooting my bows . But I still like rock and roll and machine guns. . But that wool stuff is what you like great. It does look cool on you guys.
I wear wool all year around... Wool plaid shirt, wool pants(winter time) I wear my filson tin pants or double tin pants, with a filson makinaw wool vest prety much every day!! A pair of smoke tan moose winter mits, and my Steger mukkluks every day of the winter. and of course my fur traper hat when it's realy cold!! Now I'm looking for a canadian "voyageur" red tuque like the one used by the fur traders when traveling by big canoes or in the winter travel!!
Add me to those who did not realize there was a uniform or "style".
www.noggintops.com (http://www.noggintops.com) have lots of Fedora type hats.
