Title: Art Vincent Cedar Ridge Quivers.
Post by: Gil Verwey on November 20, 2011, 07:21:00 PM
For years I looked at the pictures of Cedar Ridge quivers in Traditional Bowhunter. I have some nice bows and always wanted a nice quiver to go with them for the practice range and shoots.

I am going to call Art probably this week to talk about ordering a back quiver and side quiver with belt. If anybody has pictures they can post of quivers that they had made by Art I would appreciate seeing them. Also I would like to hear what you have to say about them.

Thanks
Gil

My Two Arrows In My Quiver made by Art...I wear the Belt nearly everyday and this is a really nice side quiver for shooting in your back yard, stumping and at the 3D range...I just need Art to add 1 more arrow sometime next year...  :D

Gil,
I will need to get 3 made cause we are in the process of adopting one more and that pretty much sums up the reason I'll need another arrow added to my quiver...Art said He may need to make a new pocket and carve it in there cause it has something to do with the leather stain blending in...Those two arrows mean so much to me and if you really look hard on those two carved arrows you will see two ladybugs crawling on them...Some people know what those ladybugs sybolize and some haven't a clue...I like to hear what folks think they stand for...I will leave ya hanging on that thought so you can have some homework to do   :jumper:

I have a back quiver and side quiver, both works of art(as it were!), very well made and highly functional. I totally recommend them. I love the back quiver with my Mowhawk LB.

The last time I saw Art in May he had suffered a severe injury to his hand and thumb preventing him from working leather. Does anyone know if he is back working?

Art is a top-notch leathersmith and nice guy. I worked with him on modifying his stalker quiver, adding a few extra features that I wanted. It turned out to be my all-around favorite quiver.

Howdy Guys,  thanks for the comments.  Yes, Thank God I am back working...Sure had a dry spell. But, I have the best customers in the world and all were patient and let me get my wits back about me and do the work. Sure needed it.

My wife got tired hunting for our food there for awhile...she was down to kicking the hell out of field mice.  But, they're Tasty little buggers if you use enough Ketchup.

I used my down time to sketch a couple of new designs for quivers.  I hope to introduce them  at Kalamazoo in January.

Again Thanks everyone....
Shoot straight and stay strong
Godspeed
Art

Art,
Get well soon and Ketchup ruins the natural flavor! Just eat them little buggers straight off the "Judo point"......Rare!  :goldtooth:

keefer,, I tried to..love em rare, but it's a thing with my wife...she's really domestic.  Tells me she'll hand the food prep.  No judo point necessary with her..she "rocks em".

Art shipped out an armguard this morning that I had built for a Christmas gift for my oldest son.  I'm really looking forward to visiting the mail box the next couple days.

Art - thanks for keeping me posted every step along the way.  From what I've already seen here on this forum, I'm seriously thinking of send a couple more orders your way soon.

Art,
"She rocks them"!  That reminds me of Old Jerry Clower's story about a boy who hunted Squirrels and used Rocks to knock em out of trees and his Daddy stopped him cause he tore em up too much...You ever heard Jerry's hunting storys Art? If not you need to listen to them especially the coon hunting and taking this rich fella hunting on his uncles land where he had to shoot Della the mule...

My wife got me a Powderhorn side quiver for Christmas.  What a treasure!  Everyone should have one of these.  Very good value considering it will last several life times and still look good.

By the way, the ladybug is a emblem of love and a symbol of protection.. Beautiful leather work, just awesome.  We just gave an armguard to a friend that just turned 80 years young yesterday, and it was simply gorgeous.

I really didn't know how I was going to adjust to a back quiver but this is awesome. I have always heard of guys having problems with arrows falling out when they bent over to pick something up. I tried to get'em to shake out when I first got it and they ain't going no where. Awesome quiver for sure

Keefer,

Beautiful quiver and beautiful daughters.  My wife and I have two girls from Hunan Province.

That is awesome about the ladybugs.  I never thought about that.  I have a quiver on order from Art and I'm going to call him to see if it's not too late to add them.

Art makes those! PM or email him.

My Stalker Quiver has a 3D card holder, pencil holder and an Allen Wrech slot. Just if I want to use it for 3D. Pretty cool.
