Realistically speaking how long will they last once put on the limbs?
Do anyone here do it?
Maybe you can ask in the bowyers bench on the main page, they will have a better responce.
My buddys has been on his recurve for 15 years or so. They look pretty darn good yet.
All how you apply it and protect it. As said here, I have skins I've put on lasting 15+ years. Lots of how to's on tradgang.
OK does anyone do that here? I know my limits
I will try one more time. I know I don't have the talent to do this; I tried the boyer's bench but am trying here again. Does anyone here do this for other people?
Thanks Robert

I put rattlesnake skins on a Morrison longbow 5 years and they still look great. Be sure to buy plenty of superglue.
Ya might want to contact Black Widow. They put some dimond back skins on a PAII of mine and they were perfect.
Hear lot of good reports with Bob Morrison's work. Why not give him a call, contact # is on his web page.
Between what you'll pay to have someone else do it and the cost of materials, I'd say give it a try. The pros do a fantastic job, but I bet you can do a pretty good job yourself and save some $$.
Here's my how to and another I got info from.

The main difference is that I did not use superglue to coat the skin. I used Tru Oil (used for gun stocks) as a top coat. Turned out decent and only cost about $30-$40 (skin, glue, Tru Oil).
