Just put another notch on my new Tall Tines recurve . . . the one with a piece of antler inlaid into the riser for good luck. It came from my Dad's last archery buck. Tally so far since receiving the bow last March: 2 spring longbeards and 3 whitetail does. Hanging on to my last tag just in case I get lucky on a buck.

Nice job again, Gary! Hopefully that buck comes along you've been looking for!
Congratulations Gary. Wonderful picture as well.
Congrats Gary!
That picture speaks volumes, foremost is a deep respect and reverence for a fine animal. Well Done Gary, always a fan of your photography. Congrats on a fine year with that special bow too, and good luck with that last tag!
With a Tall TInes, there will be no mercy!
Love that picture Gary. Congrats and I hope to see you kneeling next to a big buck soon with your special bow
Good on you Gary, congrats. You make pics like a pro!LOL.
Beautiful picture sir!
Fantastic job!
Great picture...Those tall tines are a work of art. Nothing tastes better than a white-tail doe....enjoy your harvest!
Thanks everyone. I had an encounter with a nice buck a few days ago while I was following his fresh tracks, so fresh that I fully expected to see him ahead on me. Two shots rang out on the neighboring property (It's the KY gun season right now)which apparently turned him around and sent him backtracking! I saw him before he saw me but we were on a collision course with nowhere for me to hide. He didn't like the parts of me he he saw, turned 90 degrees and busted out of there. I was back in one of my cedar tree stands this morning when I took the deer in the photo.
great pic
Great job Gary
Beautifully done photo. That is the trophy!
Your freezer must be about full.
What a wonderful picture. That photo speaks to me in a way no "hero" shot ever will. Just perfect. Thanks for sharing.
Congrats on the doe, and the pic speaks volumes. You are a very talented man!
Very nice Gary.
Great phote Gary! I always look forward to your post!
Nice big doe, Congrats Sir!

Bisch
Graet job Gary.
Nice Deer Gary,congrats.
Thanks again. It doesn't really take a lot of extra time to shoot photos that tell a story. Rainy here this morning so I got in a few extras hours of shut-eye!
Thanks TJ, so far I can eat well without spending any money at our friend taxidermist Larry Thomas!
Thanks for sharing Gary....great pic! Can I borrow the pose for the buck I kill this week with my TT?
Congrats, love the pic!!
Congrats on the deer and that is an awesome photo!
Sure Ryan, if you get him go right ahead!
Well done Gary. Your shooting is right on with the turkeys this spring and now the deer.
Great year so far Gary, keep it going with a big buck.

congrats... liked that plaid cover on your quiver.... Fred Bear cool for sure...
Congrats
Congrats! I love this stuff.
Very nice, congratulations!!
Raining here again. Passed on two bucks yesterday that were on the small side. Both were "with doe". I witnessed first hand that they are now breeding in KY :^)
Congrats :)
Neat picture! Congrats on your success!
Awesome picture...good work
Congrats Gary!
Excellent Gary :clapper:
Well done on the photo Gary, and too many more marks and you will have a checkered grip! :)
Good for you Gary, the bow has some magic to it for sure.
Gotta like those checkered grips, whether custom made by the bowyer or, as in this case, created through 40 years in the "school of hard knocks":^)
Congrats.
Brian was originally going to put checkering on my bow too, but the addition of Dad's antler inlay finished off the look that I wanted.
Classic picture, very well done.
Nice "traditional" touch with the antler inlay from your Dad's last deer. I still carry my hunting license in my Grandfathers old hunting wallet where he kept his. That way, I may hunt by myself, but never alone.
Exactly Dave . . . nice sentiment.
I agree with you Hatrick!
Nice pic! When I look at that pic I can't help but think their isn't another place you would rather be or another thing you would rather be doing than what your doing.
As Dannybow said the picture speaks volumes.
That pretty much sums up my feelings too Kenneth. Thanks.
Tall Tines update. I've been keeping a watchful eye out for that 4X5 buck that's been showing up on my game cam. No true big-un, but the largest buck currently haunting the property I hunt. Well, he finally came through this morning within 14 yards of my stand and hung around long enough for me to size him up. Unfortunately he has a really weak left side so I let him walk. That's the disappointing news. The highlight of the morning was spotting a huge doe sporting WHITE EARS. Yep, normal coloration in every regard except for two ears that look like they've been airbrushed white. Another doe came by that looked like she was wearing makeup. Prettiest doe I think I've ever seen. Perfect "bib" throat patch and sporting beautiful white and brownish gray facial markings. Looked like she was wearing makeup, HA!
That second doe must have been one of those does "with a pretty face" that Barry Wensel mentions once and a while.
Nearly had another notch this week . . . the "second rut" was ON here (KY) on Dec 12th. Saw three bucks chasing.
Thats a nice doe Garry. It looks like you have found a good hunting partner in the Talltines.
GAry, I always enjoy your photos....Congrats!
Another notch added last week to my lucky bow, this "cold turkey" taken with my Tall Tines and a 300 grain VPA 2 blade head. Since receiving the bow from Brian last March it has produced 3 Eastern longbeards and 3 whitetail does. One week to go in the KY deer season!!
