Title: Home made fletch covers
Post by: Autumnarcher on November 18, 2011, 08:05:00 PM
Ive been kicking around starting to use a fletch cover on my GFA quiver. Since I've never used one, I was thinkin I'd make one myself, but really have no clue how to as I'm not even sure where to start. I knwo I dont want any velcro involved. I hate that stuff on hunting clothes or accessories. Would it e possible to see some pics of covers, and how theyre put together so I can figure out how to make one?

On my side quiver I use a fleece camo stocking hat. Poked s hole in it and attached to the quiver with stretch cord. It came with a black one but wasn't big enough for more than 4 arrows.

Here is one that I made from a pair of pants and two pieces of shock cord.

Use a shower cap. Hotels will give you one to keep in your pack for rainy days.  This above are good permanent choices

I think I got this fletch cover from 3Rivers. When not in use I keep it wrapped around the body of the quiver.
You can easily make a fletch cover with a little fleece material and some shock cord. Sew up a small bag, inside out, and reverce it for use. Roll and stitch the top edge. Thread the shock cord through the folded edge and you're done.

A needle and thread along with an old scarf and cord or rubber band (fat newwspaper type) mand you can make one. cut a section of scarf and fold it over and sew the sides. fold the bottom over to make a rim and sew the rubber band inside the fold. and then your done.

Here is one my wife made from a simple camo handkerchief. Its just a bag with elastic at the top and another elastic loop holding it from sliding down.  sorry for the poor photo. i'll see if i can find another.
