Yesterday I traded my old wheel bow for this beauty & now I'm training wheel free!
I've shot traditional for a few years now but always held onto that old compound like a security blanket. Now it's gone & no looking back!
Good to hear and congrats on being a big boy.
My college wrestling coach always said, "it's tough to beat singleness of purpose!"
Consequently he also said, "Riding the fence hurts your balls!"
Your shooting will most likely improve with your new found focus
Finely done, sir.
I'm sure she's much prettier than the cable gun she replaced. Now you can really focus on your shooting. Knowing you no longer have the cable gun to fall back on will vastly improve your focus on shooting your "real" bows.
Good For YOU!! Should be able to Buy some Goodies with the Greenery from the Sale of the Wheelie-Bow!! Did the Guy you Sold the Wheelie Bow even ASK why You were going to "Stick Bow" Across the Board?? Congratulations!! :archer2:
Good looking bow.
BTW, with it's natural wood coloring, it sure does blend in well with it's surroundings.

That my friend is how you do it. You make a committment and see it through. I sold ALL of my wheelie stuff in 2005, bought a BW and have never even glanced back. If you are like me you will come to find that the wheel bow was a serious handi-cap in close contact shooting.
Nice! great bow for sure, you are gonna have fun!
Good for you, you wont regret it... Any specs on that nice bow of yours??
:clapper: :clapper: :clapper:
Well Done Brother! You got yourself a fine bow too.
Its all down hill from Here. enjoy the ride ;)
GOOD TRADE!
Thanks guys, This is my third recurve & I believe it is the best shooter of the three.

David, it's a newer(2007 I think) 50# Bear Super Kodiak.
You have tested your wings for quite some time.
Now that you have been pushed out of the nest - actually jumped, I am sure you will fly.
Congrats!
Note: Purdy bow
Nice bow, congratulations
Can't get rid of my old compound... My daughter stuck an elmo sticker on it for good luck when she was three. That was nine years ago and it was the last year I hunted with it. I'm keeping it on the wall. :D
Really great bow partner! Welcome.
I love the look of those newer Bears. I've thought about picking one up, but hard to convince my wife that I need two bows!
Did the same thing last year. It was tough the first year but after your first harvest it gets much easier. I find that I enjoy shooting a lot more now.
Congrats you won't miss it whatsoever. Good looking stick.
got rid of my training wheels 2yrs ago(sold that piece of ****)and havent missed it one bit. all of my buddys (except a couple) still shoot wheelies and i just love it when they complain about their release messing up or sights being knocked off. i just laugh and walk away. good luck and keep'em sharp!
I did the same thing this summer!
congrats! thats step 11 of the 12 step program! your making good progress, now all you have to do is have fun and keep it traditional :clapper: :archer2:
Good for you! Mine was traded off for some labor around the house. :clapper:
Well I have been shooting it a lot & plan on hunting with it for the first time tomorrow.
:clapper: :archer2:
I quit using them many years ago, never looked back!
Congrats to you! After I switched I had my old wheel bow under the bed for about 5-6yrs. I came across a person that needed a bow and just gave it to him.
Good luck in your hunting too!!!!
Bisch
Congrats !! I hung mine up 7 years ago to try a longbow ago for a season and never picked it up again. It hung in my garage for several years and I finally sold it a couple years ago.
It has been many years since my compound and I have enjoyed ride. I enjoyed it so much I finally started building my own bows. Enjoyment is what it is all about so have yourself a ball.
No more training wheels equals you've stepped into reality.
Congrats!
