I thought you Hill types might like this. It is my new Pronghorn Nighthawk by Herb Mealand. I have shot it a little and it seems very smooth and very forgiving and like all my Pronghorns the speed is very respectable.
Tradganger Jack Skinner took it out a few times to see if he wanted one. He took a few pics for me since I have been super busy moving.

Nice! Any close-ups?
Nice Randy, what are the specs?
I have the 66" model, 56# @ 28", osage riser, black glass limbs. I really like mine.
awesome ! I saw another post elswehere about Herb's "D " bow ... specs ?
Is it d/r or actually straight when unstrung ?
It is an R/D slightly. I will get some unstung pics later this evening.
Looks good to me.......
yup, that's an r/d "D" all right, and what a black beauty! congrats randy!!! :clapper:
maybe we should make it easier on what to call these hybrids - an RDD, as oppposed to an ELB or AFL or LMNOP. :D
Looks Nice!

This one is 64" 55@28"
Black action wood with black glass. One red core glass lamb.
AWESOME
Randy hope you dont mind but here are a few more that I took while I had it. Great shooting bow I have been thinking of new D-bow and this is a great choice. The bow next to the pronghorn was made buy a local bowyer who no longer makes bows and is three lbs heavier in draw weight at my draw length and not as fast as the pronghorn.
A few shots from closer in as some requested.

Oh yeah! That's nice. The red glass lam set it off very well.
Thanks for the additions Jack
sweet !~
I looked on the Pronghorn web site and did not see anything or price on this new longbow?
Also I noticed the handle is dished. My first three longbows were from Dick Robertson and all were dished handle. I loved the dished handle and shot great with it. I see Herb is using it here. Two great bowers.
This beauty in the photo looks like a shooter. Ken
That looks sweet! My 3pc Pronghorn has been needing a sibling.
Ken the now is new to the line won't on website just yet. Give Herb a call though he will help you out.

Christmas time is near Danny. A new of any kind is a good gift to yourself.
You can always send that baby West Randy :)
Good lookin bow
Very nice! I had a Mealand, miss it... ANother one of those, "I wish I still had it" deals.
Great looking bow.!
If it's made by Herb it's a shooter...
D bows do it for me. What a beaut! Glad to see your slight dish grip too.
Randy, When are you coming back through Casper? I'd love to sling a few shafts through it.
JW I will let you know. It wont be for a few weeks at least.
Randy, I already bought a new bow for myself for Christmas, but I might be able to justify another for Easter!
I have been thinking of a third set of limbs for my 3pc, in a lighter weight, but that new bow of Herb's is looking so sweet I might just have to go the extra and make it a Meland D-Bow.
Easter baskets always need things added to them ha ha
:bigsmyl:
Thanks Randy, I have a target in my back yard and Casper has an indoor range if it's a howling blizzard. My cell is 307-267-7565
