Hey guys. I thought would share a few pics of this years whitetail hunts up to this point. I hunted only a handful of times in Oct. but made an effort to get out as much as possible once Nov. rolled around. On Nov. 4 I missed this buck as he passed the base of my tree about 5 yards away. The hard quartering away shot was left and narrowly missed him. He was walking slowly and I just didn't pick a spot and blew the shot. No excuses. He jumped a few yards and continued on his way with his nose to the ground. On Nov. 9 he came by pushing a couple does about 300 yards from where I had seen him on the 4th. Everything happened pretty fast and I had to grunt at him to get him to stop. The shot was about 17 yards and was a double lung pass thru. He made it about 80 yards.

The original pictures I must have dreamt depicted a Tall Tines with a macassar riser w/bocote flare and bocote limb veneers.
Sometimes my imagination gets the best of me.
It couldn't have happened that way.

Another look here too.
This is the time of year that I like to see these threads again. It always makes me think of next year.
Too far away hunting season for WT,but here wild boars are still open, can I say year around? :bigsmyl:
Felix, don't wait so long to get your Iowa application in this year! I have 4 points now and still don't know if I will have the time to use them this fall.
We should set up a European TallTines Boar Hunt to go along with the Manitoba Bear Hunt...
Steve, come over alone or with family,I'll spoil you!
If you'll come in the late fall chamois will be available too and maybe a stag.
