Hiya boys, my ******** ILF is pretty quite, but its not like my one or take down are. I was wondering if yawl had any secrets for quieting the ILF set ups down?
My brace height seems good, but there is some string laying on the limb near the curve. I was thinking limb saver type device?
Limb savers will help.I have a TT Titan and a sky 17"tdx.I have TT carbon wood limbs on the sky.And greatree limbs on the Titan.I have two sets of string leaches and limb savers on both of them.I also use a EFA quiver on both of them. They are dead quiet.
Thanks 2barrels I'll give'em a try.
A little velcro on the string groove will help for quieting sting slap. You can also pad the limb pocket with a piece of padding such as velcro or rubber inner tube....

Have anyone tried something like the string stoppers that are on the latest compound bows?
Its basically a rod that extends back from the riser, and has a soft rubber pad that just barely touches the string when the string is at rest - it works superbly on compounds.
Probably not very traditional, but neither are metal risers or carbon foam limbs.

6 or 8 strand string will help.
6-8 strand string with a set of hush puppies work for me.
I use small limbsavers at the fades, and rubber catwhiskers on a FF string. I have found that by raising the brace height just as little as 1/8 inch can quiet the bow alot. I bet the velcro on the string grooves would help too, but mine is quiet enough already.
I use the velcro in the string grooves and thick n quick wool yarn for silencers. It's keeps em quiet...PR
