Larry Myers sent me this picture of a beautiful Kansas buck he took with his Shrew Classic Hunter. I think he did a wonderful job posing his buck. He took the picture before the deer was dressed out and also is holding his bow in a way for good display.
I see too many nice bucks in the back of a pickup with their tongue hanging out, or hanging in a garage above a pool of blood. This buck was posed tastefully with the respect due such a fine animal. Congratulations Larry...

Roger that Ron. Respectful pics after the kill in the field provides wonderful memories. Beautiful buck, beautiful bow, awesome momento :campfire:

Yep, it's a great photo, nice bow, and the quiver looks like it was made for that bow. Good idea Ron to show a great photo like this. It's such a shame to see a bad photo of a nice animal that could have been a great photo.
:archer2:
I remember we always put the quiver, gloves or something over the wound, even. Now it seems the idea is to show a gaping hole.
Pass word back to Larry: Congratulations and nice work all around!

Ron, I agree! That's a very nice picture. Congratulations Larry! A job well done.
I checked one of my game cameras yesterday and found a pic of the buck I would like have in a picture with my Classic Hunter also!

Wow, what a bruiser.. Good luck Kevin..
Yup, that's a dandy picture and buck for sure. He's even got a nice example of mounting the quiver on the Super Shrew bow in the pose.
Congratulations to Larry.
Very nice picture indeed!!
Everything is just perfect in that pic! :clapper: :clapper:
Great photo! Love the dark shade of antlers!
I love when people take the time to snap a few tasteful pics.
Congratulations
Beauty of a pic and sweet looking bow brother!
great looking picture!!
I agree Ron, It really doesn't take much time to properly prep for a great hero shot. We as hunters don't mind a deer laying in a bloody pool, but we aren't the only ones that see the pictures. I have a package of wet wipes in the truck for this reason.
Fantastic deer and picture.
I need one just like that with me in the pic! Congrats on a beauty!!
That's a great looking buck...I love that photo.
Any idea what vest and hat he's wearing? I've been searching for a fleece vest but am not really having any luck locally.
I always try to make my pics look as good as I can. I agree with you Ron. The aniamls look so much more majestic when a little thought goes into the pose!
Congrats to Larry on a great buck too.

Exceptional deer well demonstrated. Thanks
I agree, that's how it should be done.
Very well done!
Eric
Great buck. I always drive my buddies nuts taking pics. My thought is take as many pics as you can in as many good poses as possible.
Rob
I'd rather have a good photo than a mount. That's a great shot in both ways.
Point well taken Mr. LaClair. Great job all around. Congrats.
Well done all around and a very nice buck to boot! Congrats.
I agree with Ron. Very tasteful.
Great deer, and, yes, a great picture!
Great picture and beautiful bow !!!
Bill
Yes, nicely done.
Great photo
Nice pic. Nothing wrong with 'em hanging in the shed either.
good job buddy, hopefully you can return the favor later this week ;)
Great buck and great pic. My only complaint would be that I like to skylight the antlers and tuck the legs in....hard to do that every time though.
Huckbuck......

I agree. The extra work isn't all that much, but the lasting results will be much appreciated.
Calm down and get it right as this moment so quickly passes.
The wet wipes idea is a good one and lots of pics and angles are needed. A back view of a good rack is pretty neat and different.
Point well taken Ron, my daughter who doesn't "do blood" really liked that photo.
Good thread and reminder. Awesome photo...very respectful of the deer and our instinct.
Thanks for posting such a beautiful buck. Mr. La Clair, I agree with you entirely, however I hadn't thought about it while looking at pics. I guess that comes fom not being squeemish around it. Very good thought to bare in mind when posing with our sucesses. Thanks again to both of you.

Great post Ron
