Title: Bare Shafting
Post by: beauleyse on November 08, 2011, 02:11:00 PM
Never been one to bare shaft much but I have spent hours playing with the Stu Calculator and even asking friends and some of you on here to help and I finally found a combination that looked promising so I went for it...Well all the supplied came in yesterday...So on my lunch break today with everything dry I figured I'd do a little bare shafting shots to see how it looked...

This was at 30 yards I was a little excited!

Dead Center knock high...I took the picture at an angle so you could see it better but not bad for 3 weeks of playing on a stu calc... LOL   :)

I'll be fletching up a few arrows in the next few days and see them really fly...Thanks for looking..

You can't ask for better than that. What combo did you come up with?

Do you shoot with a 3under string grip? If you shoot split finger, you must have one stellar release.

30 inch 75/95 Blemished Gold tips with 100 grain inserts and 150 grain heads...

Looks good, now shoot fletched, bareshaft and your broadhead and see if they all hit in the same group. Then you will know you are good to go.

After shooting with a bare shaft and a field point, then shoot a fletched arrow tipped with the same grain weight broadhead. That's the acid test.
