A Tick Rider down here in Texas told me that all of the livestock tanks, and ponds have dried up, and that alot of the animals are coming to the river to drink. I put a pop up blind after I checked the trails, and saw some massive tracks of deer and hog. My question, is when is a good time to sit and wait?
They might water any time but very often after getting up from bedding all day, they will head to water.I'm only speaking of deer.I have no hog experience.
If its hot out around noon would be my choice.
I have seen a lot of deer drinking in the afternoon time say 2-4pm and also late evening. Not so much in the mourning.I bet there are not many on here knows what a tick rider is.Be carefull on that river lots of do badders on the other side.Hogs mostly at night I think.
Huntingarcher, believe me I know, I'm ALWAYS armed when I go. That was another topic not too long ago!!
