A heartfelt THANK YOU to all the men and women in the armed forces and those who served our country during WWII and Vietnam. You are the true heroes.
I'll second that!! :notworthy:
All of our wars have had some true heros. Even as I serve, I am forever grateful to those who have gone before me.
"Those who have served has a taste of freedom, that those who didn't will not understand". "To remember the sacrifices of those lost in defending something that is larger than them is true honor and patriotism" OOOORAAAHHH, to all Semper Fi!!!
To My Brothers , all who have fought, all that still fight, and all those who have not returned, I am humbled by your service. Although, I stood next to you facing all that came our way, Humbled is how I feel having served with all of you.
One day I too will go to " Fiddlers Green" where I will meet you all again, and we will drink a toast to our misspent youth. So, " Tojours Pret" (Always Ready) my Brothers, from a older 2nd Cavalry Trooper.

Thank you to the Heroes.
John Kennedy said "Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country".
We can't repay those who have been injured or killed in the defense of our great country, but let us always be appreciative for what they gave of themselves and let's work to bring our country back to the ideals for which they fought.

My thanks to all who have served, and those who are serving, and to the ones who will continue the honored tradition of those who have gone before.
My humble thanks to you all.
May God bless.
I served my enlistment with little to no trouble. My heart goes out to those kids signing up now....it was easy to sign on when there was no war, it takes monster courage to go in these days.

AMEN brother. My time was easy. The hard work now is getting the courage just to sign up. Our next Greatest Generation is serving now in my opinion and has been since 9/11.
But ALL who have served have given their part.
To our military.
Many thanks to our heroes!!!
To all my brothers who answered the call to duty past and preasent.Thank You and Semper Fi
Thanks for the post Joe, my dad was a B-24 pilot in the 13th Air Force, U.S. Army Air Corps during WW2. He flew 45 combat missions throughout the Pacific and was the most confident, self-reliant guy I've ever known. When Tom Brokaw's book "The Greatest Generation" came out, it dawned on me that I had been aware of that my whole life. He has been gone for 27 years now and I still think of him most days and greatly miss him.
I served my full 30 and hat is always off to the military families who wait and wait. In our day that phone call or letter was so precious, and our wives waited. The trip to the mail box was dreaded, but could turn a bad day into pure happiness.
To all who wore any uniform, thanks for being there. We knew we could count on the brothers and sisters.

Thanks to all that served and now serving.

To my brothers in arms I salute your service. Please remember those "who gave the last full measure of devotion" to their country and remember that what each of us does on a daily basis should honor their sacrifice.
To my fellow Cavalry Troopers I raise my canteen.

I agree completely...there is nothing better than seeing a letter addressed to your name in the box! I guess the only thing better is a box in the mailbox!

God bless our Veterans, thank you for your unselfish service to protect our freedom.
Prayers for those now serving and for those who have served in the past. We may have troubles in our country now but nothing like it would be had we not served when called. Thanks to all-past and present.
