Second season starts on the 12th. We just got our first snow of the season yesterday. It's going to change my strategy a little. Instead of freezing in a tree stand all day I will be on the ground moving around. Should be able to move pretty quietly now and it will help keep me worm.
I love hunting with fresh snow on the ground. Not only is it visually pleasing, but that brown fur is so easy to spot against a white backdrop. Good luck!
The word snow is an Acronym for S--t No One Wants lol.
We've got some snow falling right now in Az.
Oh come on. It's FUN freezing in a tree stand.

I sit until I can't stand it and then get down and still-hunt until I can feel my limbs.
The crunchy snow is worse than dry leaves for trying to move quietly. The light & fluffy or mushy stuff isn't so bad.
Last year we had a big snow fall and I went out(I love the snow)but this time it kicked my @$$, just the walk in the 2ft of snow had my thighs burning so bad that I couldnt even begin to climb up in the stand. And after a hour I said to myself I wouldnt even think of shooting cause their aint nobody crazy enough to help me drag one out.Stay alert, stay warm, stay still.
Snowshoes!
