stringing up a self yew bow that's sat dormant for 10 years?
If you have a tillering tree, you can put on a long string and start working it slowing.
After the limbs have gotten used to the idea of bending then put the correct string on it and launch a few arrows out of it but not at full draw until you're sure the bow is working ok.
If you don't have a tillering tree you can use the floor tillering method in getting it used to bending again.

Slow and steady! You have to teach it to bend and recover again. Do as Mudd suggests.
Amen to Mudd's suggestion. The limbs need to learn to work again. They have probably forgotten.
