Title: I need a bow doctor. Who is out there these days?
Post by: Gil Verwey on November 03, 2011, 09:03:00 PM
Originally Rich Lopez was going to refinish a '67.5 Bear Super Kodiak for me. I waited too long and he retired for a while. I would like to get the bow repaired, refinished, have the shelf cut like Fred's bow and diamondback skins added to the limbs (I have the skins).

Who else is still out there doing this? If anyone knows of someone that they have used and are happy with please forward me their contact info.

Thanks
Gil

Joe Lasch aka Whip is running the Bow Hospital.  He did a 49 Grizzly for me and did an awesome job.  Good work, good prices, and the epitome of dependability that Joe

I'd give Sixby a shout. Eagle Wing Archery. i know he has done some beautiful restoration work and knows what he's doing with snake skins.

i would gladly volunteer, but i don't touch those nasty old snake skins myself... Give Steve a call.
