I'm going to Florida to visit my son, haven't seen in a couple of years. was hoping to check out a trad bow shop, maybe get him interested, he hasn't hunted in several years. anyway he lives in a small town near Orlando. was wondering if any body in that area might know something ....Thanks
Which small town? There's lots of them around Orlando and it's in the center of the State. That leaves a very big coverage area, If we know the town it will help narrow things down. And there aren't many, if any, Trad only shops.
Apopka is the town where he lives thanks for asking
any archery shops that at least cater to traditional would be good. there are some around here that have almost nothing. luckly there is one whose owner shoots trad.
dont know of any down that way. theres a bass pro in Orlando they would probably have the biggest selection. But I'm not sure because I dont go down hat way much.
Shawn
Ocala is an hour and a half north. Jeff Hester usually has 15-20 traditional bows for sale at Jerry's Archery. Apopka has a great outdoors store called Mosquito Creek Outfitters. Not much trad specialty stuff.
Gregg, Who is the guy that always has all the used bows at the TBOF gathering? I was thinking he was up that way somewhere? Maybe it is Jeff...
Brad, I believe Jeff usually has the most bows on the sale tables.
there is a guy about an hour outside orlando that has an appointment only trad shop. I will try and find his number. When I was there 4 years ago he had over a hundred bows hanging on the walls
Lynn Busbee..?
Gregg-
That's who he must be talking about Lynn Busbee.
Darren
thats him. traditional archery sales lakeland fl.
its been a long time but he was covered up with used trad bows. Long bows and recurves.
thanks for the input. if lakeland is not to far away and I can get Mr. Busbees # It might be a worth a look see, thanks again
Yep, Thats who I was thinking of! I knew he was a vendor outside with a BUNCH of bows every time I've been up there
