Folks may remember last season I was lucky enough to take a buck my family had named Big Charlie. It was a 3 year effort! Well this year a new buck took his place on the farm. Not really Little Charlie but I began calling him TNT (Tight Narrow and Tall). He began showing up on Trail Cameras in the field about a month a go.

For the most part, I stay out of the center of the farm until the rut gets into full swing.
On a whim, I went this morning to the same tree I killed Big Charlie from and wouldn't you know, lightening struck twice! TNT showed up about 7:20 am checking scrapes in front of my stand. A five yard shot, Schafer bow and wide VPA Broadheads did the dirty work!

The performance of the VPA broadhead was outstanding! The buck barely made it 20 yards!!
 :campfire:

Nice! Take good care of that tree...lol.
What a great eight pointer! Beautiful - congratulations.
Awesome!
Great stuff Bob! Excellent deer! Thanks for the pix & story.
Very nice indeed.
That's some tree. When does the rut get swinging up there? I truly envy you guys that enjoy the rut during your archery season, we're still having days that eclipse 70 degrees here, and as of yet, I'm not seeing any activity of it here.
Anyway......super nice buck!
That's MUCH better ;)
Geeze, Bob... you're getting like Charlie Lamb dragging out these stories so very long! :dunno:
That was a very interesting hunt you shared...about as long to tell as it took to drop him ...short! :) :D
Excellent outcome! Kudos. I don't remember "old Charlie" but then I don't remember what was for breakfast either, but TNT would blow MY mind!
Whoa, Baby! Nice, Nice deer!
Congratulations, that's a handsome buck!
I think you owe that tree some fertilizer. :goldtooth:
Nice work.
Thanks everyone!!!!!!
Great Buck Bob!
Congratulations Bob! :clapper: I'm just getting ready for my very first hunt tomorrow November 4th....I'm just going to check a farm I only hunted about 3 times and that was about 6 years ago....No stand just looking for a good place to make a natural ground blind...God Bless and very nice deer Bob! Keefers <><
Bob, Congrats on a very fine looking buck. Good story, Thanks.
Nice job! Some trees are definitely worth a waypoint on the gps.
