Hi guys, thought this might be useful for some of you.

I've been playing with bow quivers (modifying some that are on the market, or making mine), but I've never been really happy with. The closet I had been was with the Great Northern modified as suggested by Kelly (    http://web.archive.org/web/20071219042035/http://www.arrowsbykelly.com/Other_Tips.html    ). But it was too flimsy specially on my Shrews. And yesterday I think I found the answer after being ready to give up with bow quivers !

This look exactly as the original GN, but if you look closer you can see that the quiver is leaning a bit making the arrows more parallel to the direction of the lower limb.

here is a pic of the upper attach of the quiver :

The only modification is on the lower attach of the quiver :

Now the pin is looking backward rather that forward.

The modification is easy to make with two pliers :

just twist slowly the attach to rotate the pin at 180˚ (can be useful to remove the rubber plate holding the arrows and slide the rubber pipe a bit to protect if from the pliers, I'm not paying back the screwed quivers   :)  ). You should have something like that :

This is ready to be put on belly of the bow :

you can then adjust the bit the angle of the quiver by sliding it up or down the riser, but be careful not to go over the fadeout.

That's pretty cool. I was grouse hunting yesterday and trying to think of a way to change the angle of the quiver.

Thanks Paddy ! Just go slow when you twist the attach so you don't break it. Mine has been twisted several times to make it like Kelly suggested, then make it back to the original form, then like Kelly suggested and finally has it is today, and it is still rock solid, I really like this quiver! the only thing I need now is to make a hood a bit longer to protect the blade of broadhead like the Grizzly El Grande.

On a whim, I made this change to my quiver last nite.  It is an awesome mod.  So much so, the folks at GN should seriously think about the change.

I really wasn't dissatisfied with the GN, but after reading this thread, then kinda holding the quiver in place without making the change, I could see the value.  It moves the quiver away from the bow hand some, which is nice for the inside arrows and
does seem to stabilize it more.

Another thing I do with this quiver is wrap the bungie cord around both sides of the holder on each pass.  It helps keep the bungie attached to the quiver when pushing in arrows.

Thanks for the idea.  BTW:  It is easy to do.
