Ok guys I have been shooting my bear recurve all summer got pretty good and just took my first deer a couple days ago it was a little 6 point.
Well the deal is im shooting a Kodiak 45# @28 I draw 29 my arrows are cut at 29 1/2 and they are 2216's .
Oh and im shooting 125 grain magnus broad heads.
How far off am I and what are the consequences of shooting these.

You are way off.The consequences are,the arrows being way out of tune,a lot of your bows energy will be wasted due to poor arrow flight and penetration will be greatly reduced.Just what you don't want with a 45 # bow.
Those arrows are way too stiff.It would take over 300 grs of point weight to bring them around and I'm guessing you wouldn't like a 700+ grain arrow out of that bow.
Your best bet would probably be a 1916 with that point weight or a 2016 with possibly a little more point weight.
Go to bowmaker.net and read the tuning information and they also have a realistic,aluminum arrow chart to point you in the right direction.Most charts,especially Easton's give recommendations that are way too stiff.
Congratulations on that deer.If you get an arrow properly tuned to that bow,it will be more forgiving,quieter and more efficient.Good luck with it.

Play around with Stu Miller's DSC program and see if a 2114 would work.

Try and get a couple of Gold Tip 1535's traditional arrows, full length, put a 50 grain brass insert with a 125 gr. field tips or broad head, 4-5" feathers. You could also go all the way up to a 100gr. brass insert with the above set up.
My arrows are cut to 28 14", so they are a little shorter than what you will have, but I do shoot pretty much the same weight.

I shoot the same set up as you.45 at 28" and draw 29 arrows cut to 30".and I am shooting 1916 and 2016 would be a good choice too.2216 is way to stiff.

illwhttail, what prompts you to ask this question? :confused: You mention practicing all summer. How has the arrow flight been. How is it with broadheads? Did something not work the way you wanted it to when you took the deer?
If everything is working then maybe you have the correct set up now.

I posted my setup on the wall and was told I was way off on my shaft size so if I can tighten my groups or quiet the now down then i'll try it.
Mylocal archery shop told me that's what I needed was the 2216first. I fought that sounded stiff.

I would suggest either a 2016 or a 500 spine carbon loaded up front.
